We were married on November 4th and recently received our wedding photos. I used the advice from this community frequently so I wanted to share my special day with you.

We originally planned a wedding for 150 people, but decided to redo everything several months into planning due to unwanted demands from others, our dislike for our initial venue, and our budget. We dropped our guest list down to 25 and then booked a venue we absolutely loved, the Historic Shelby Manor of Arcadia Farms.

A lot went wrong:
-We forgot our marriage license and only realized it when we were half way to the venue. We ended up losing an hour due to driving to get it.
-Our florist got my bouquet completely wrong. The reception flowers were what we wanted but the bouquet she brought was baby shower pink (our colors were burgundy, navy, pops of orange). She went back to redo it but it still wasn’t what we had discussed.
-I was short on time getting ready and forgot to put on my jewelry.
-My hair lost its curl as soon as I went outside and a piece refused to stop dangling in my face which was sad because it was so pretty beforehand.
-Our cake was supposed to have a caramel filling but didn’t. (It was still good though!)
-Somehow our ceremony got completely out of order and we all ended up on opposite sides of what was planned.
-I forgot to linger with my dad at the alter due to confusion about sides and trying to get my dress swung around.

That being said, so much went right!
-It didn’t storm or rain like it was supposed to!
-Almost everyone showed up which meant we got to spend an amazing night celebrating our love with our closest family.
-I finally got to wear my wedding dress!
-Clay’s reaction during our first look was incredible and I’ll never forget it. (He looked amazing too.)
-Our officiant led our ceremony better than we could have dreamed. We feel honored that he married us and his words will always stick with us throughout our marriage.
-We successfully wrote and read our own vows to each other. They are in a picture frame on our nightstands now.
-Gaspard, the one-eyed cat, joined in our ceremony!
-The blessing of the rings was special beyond words and I’m so glad we included it.
-We made amazing memories during our dances and none of us tripped even though we didn’t practice!
-Our reception space was the most beautiful I’ve ever seen (though I know I’m biased). I’m proud of our decorating abilities.
-Our photographers really ended up being photographers, coordinators, stress-relievers, and more. I can’t begin to thank them enough. (Blessed Bee Photography).
-Our food was absolutely DELICIOUS, and farm-to-table!
-The toasts were beautiful and heart-felt!
- It seemed like all of our guests had a good time which was important to us.

Above: pictures of me getting ready.
Below: A few pictures of the guys getting ready and trying to figure out how to fold pocket squares.
OP your pictures are not only gorgeous the year enchanting. It looks like something out of a fairy-tale. I love how intimate your wedding was. I love the picture of them trying to get the cricket out of your dress, moments like that are what make the wedding so natural and real! Congratulations your photographer did a GREAT job!
And your colors are beautiful!
