I finally pulled my thoughts together long enough to post our BAM. DH and I had a tumultuous wedding and we already starting planning our renewal we were so frustrated and angry.

My best advice is to hire experienced vendors (even if you have to push your date back to save for longer!) and know your contracts. I could have prevented a lot of issues and heartache if I knew we could have hired an outside DOC.

    My jaw dropped so many times reading your BAM. Firat of all I respect you so much for posting here and waiting until everything was together and clearly laid out. I literally could picture everything you said. Side note: you are a very good writer. I am so sorry you had to go thru this. I am glad you have contacted an attorney. You were very smart for gathering all evidence such as emails,recordings,guest comments,etc. I am very happy your caterer was so amazing. You made me want to work with them! Please leave them an amazing review! Despite all the troubles, you looked absolutely beautiful. I love your dress and the bridesmaid dresses. Congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs!

    I'm in shock. I cannot believe someone would act that way. Nonetheless, you looked gorgeous and very happy. I really like your bridesmaid's gowns.

    This is such a terrible situation to be in! I almost cried reading the details! From the pictures you shared it looks incredible nonetheless!! And you two look SO happy!! I do wonder tho..the "un-usable" pictures..are you still getting those in some way, shape or form!? Editing can sometimes fox lighting and even badly lit pictures can still hold tons of memories and meaning! I would make sure you still get today least see them for yourself! And if you haven't, you might reach out to guests about pictures! Again, even tho the quality won't be professional I'm sure SOMEONE snapped a picture of you and dad!!

    I can definitely understand wanting a vow renewal. I was following your other thread about the DOC from hell, and was hoping for them to, at the very least, make it right with a full refund. Honestly, I'd be demanding the guys job. And for the photographer to be a disappointment as well? That almost seems too much. However, I'm glad your catering company was so great and really stepped up to the plate. They would have gotten a very hefty tip from me after that one!

    Despite all the nonsense, everything looked absolutely beautiful, and you were an even more beautiful bride. Congratulations on getting married, and good luck on your future plans for a vow renewal!!

    Oh, dear. I knew you had some "hiccups" from your non pro BAM, but this was just incredibly heartbreaking to read. I'm so sorry you had to deal with so much. I wish you LOTS of luck in dealing with your venue in the aftermath.

    I am so so sorry about everything that happened at your wedding. That man should be fired. I truly hope everything works out and you get a full refund. Definitely write reviews for the vendors!

    You did look incredibly gorgeous and now you have a husband, so there is the awesome bright side! Enjoy your marriage!

    I'm sorry for your terrible experience, but I appreciate you telling everyone to hire experienced vendors. No one believes it can happen to them until it does.

    Oh my gosh OP, how awful. I am so so sorry you had to go through all of that! I work in Radnor and am actually hosting (with other BM's) my friends bridal shower at the Saturday Club in February. They informed us they were a new venue as well.. I will definitely approach things cautiously.

    Hoping you receive the justice you deserve - no one should have to go through that! You looked amazing, though, and you could still see the happiness on both your faces during the points that mattered the most!!

    I'm really sorry this all happened, but I'm confused. As @Mack stated, your review of your photographer was actually a good review. The other ones for her are terrible, and line up with what you've described here. Why leave such a good review if things went so wrong? ETA: Did she do your engagement photos, and you left the review after that?

    OP, I'm so sorry for your experience. Sounds awful, and I really really hope you get all your money back regarding your DOC. What an asshole.

    However, why did you say your photographer wasn't that great on here, and complain that she was on her phone and missed some EXTREMELY important shots (first look, father-daughter dance, etc).....but then give her an amazing review? If you really think she was inexperienced and not that great (which appears true)....why lead future brides on to think she knows what she's doing?

    OP, I am heartbroken reading your post. I can't imagine the level of disappointment. I am so sorry for your horrendous experience.

    I also wanted to thank you for posting such a thoughtful and detailed BAM, because its just another reminder to us all that quality matters, and quality usually = $$.

    On the plus side, you looked fabulous! Congrats on being married, and best wishes for your life together.

    I just got through reading everything (i remember you posting right after) and all the details are just heartbreaking, I'm so sorry. Thank god for your awesome caterers and DJ/officiant team, and that you got to marry your best friend.

    I've only seen a couple but the pic of you smiling at your husband during the ceremony is wonderful.

    OP, I literally read your story with my hand covering my open mouth. As I read it just kept getting worse. Then I saw he threw away your cake topper? Good Lord, that man needs to be fired. I am SO sorry this happened. The venue needs to give you a full refund immediately. Wow. As far as your pictures are concerned maybe you and your husband can get dressed up again and have some additional photos taken with a different photog. I know it isn't the same but at least it would be something.

    On the other hand, you looked so beautiful. The pictures do not show that you are unhappy, just the opposite actually. Congratulations on marrying the love of your life!

    WOW! Your pics are beautiful! I'm so sorry you had such an awful experience! Makes me really glad I postponed my wedding to save up $ and didn't use vendors from craigslist! I hope things work out and you get some $ back! PLEASE PLEASE review these "vendors" as many places as you can so that other brides won't have the same problems you did!
