1st time getting married. Ready for this journey God has for me. Not your fairy tale wedding. Unfortunately we getting married at the prison, long as we are becoming one that's all that matter.

Prison is meant to identify sentence length- people sentenced to 365 or more consecutive days are in prison. People that are sentenced to 364 or less days are in jail.

Amanda, misuse of the ellipses would be a jail-time offense if I had my way.

Did you know each other prior to the incarceration?

Best of luck! (Had a drink at the movies, now I'm glad I decided to have one, otherwise my big mouth would have asked a lot of questions! MODS please make note of my positivity so that when I'm an asshole later or tomorrow you can cut me some slack. Lol)

In sorry but this is funny to me. Maybe because I'm drunk, or maybe it's actually hilarious idk. Good luck. ETA: no longer drunk, still funny.

@Lilly: Not necessarily. Prison is for people who have a longer sentence convicted of felony charges. Misdemeanors rarely go to prison. Offenders can also go

To prison for shorter spans, though, such as a 180-day shock for some felony offenses like drugs or a third DWI. Some felonies don't warrant time in a prison (less than a year in MOST cases), but misdemeanors are pretty much never sent to prison regardless of length of sentence.

At least in Missouri, that's how it works.

@Elphaba, I get that people have to be punished when laws are broken but shit like that pisses me off. The justice system in this country sucks.

I respect anyone who can withstand any type of long distance relationship. I certainly don't think I could do it. Me and FH have barely been a part in the 12 years we've been together. (We are 25.) Do they allow conjugal visits? Is this jail or prison? Do you have a good support system behind you guys?

Looool! May be just a random post for the efs of it because he/she has not responded back OR may be the truth. If so, as long as you are deeply happy then more kudos to you. People can judge you and your decision but in the end you are the one who has to deal with all life's outcomes.
