Hey all, I was just wondering, what is the most ridiculous price per plate that you've ever heard of.

$153 and that was on an off day. I also saw $555 pp but that did at least include the hotel room.

Almost all of your prices seem ridiculous to me. I refused to even consider anything over $12 a plate, and since i couldnt find a good caterer at that price, we are serving apps and cake only.

We have to spend a minimum of $44 per person on food. After the cocktail hour booze is included, we are probably close to $55 per person.

Completely agree Jaime. My plate was $110 + 28% tax & grat + approx $140pp! I can't believe some of the low plate costs you ladies have confirmed! I haven't come across anything close to that, way to go! Smiley smile

Including appetizers, entrees, bar tab, cake, and taxes and gratuities, ours is costing about $75 per plate. That's probably fairly high for my area. I don't think anything is outrageous so long as the people paying for it are satisfied and the quality matches the cost.

I called the Four Seasons in DC a few years back and it would have been about $360 a person....that was quite a shocking number. Ended up spending $166pp with tax and gratuity.
