Save the dates are a new invention, not a necesity.
For anyone you think needs more advance notice that they are invited than the standard 8 week invitation time, tell them, call them, write them an e mail or whatever you do that does not cost much money or inconvenience. Given the way things keep shifting, you may not want to give a lot of notice to many people. A pain if you have to change again.

Where did you order them? I know that some sites are offering to re-do the save the dates free of cost or at a reduced cost for brides who had to postpone due to covid

I got my postpone cards off Minted- where I did our original save the dates.

Hi Andrea! The Knot now has a lot of pretty paper designs too! They've got some "postponed" and "Change the Date" templates with nice wording as well:

I made my own, only because so many are coming from out of state. I used my Scan N Cut and my printer. They came out pretty well I think. Sorry for the blurriness!

Did you send out postponement cards? We had to postpone our July 2020 wedding for June 2021, but are forgoing Save the Dates this time this time around, as our postponement cards listed the new date.

But, Minted has some nice options - that's what we used for our original Save the Dates. Smiley smile Pretty sure they have Change the Date cards as well.. we got ours from Zazzle, but that's only because they were cheaper. lol I know at one point (in the height of the pandemic), companies were offering Change the Date cards for free, or at a discount. Not sure if that is still an option, but something to consider as well.

Yes we did. We had so many coming from out of state that I could have sent out out invites with the new date, but really didn't want to a year ahead of time. I sent our " new" save the dates that I made to everyone. Good thing is the first Save the Dates most I could hand pass out to friends and co workers. However this time I had to mail them. I didn't mind. We are both Michigan natives living in Texas now! Love and hugs to our home state! Smiley heart
