Hey y’all! We eloped on our wedding day even though we had to postpone our wedding like I am sure many of y’all have. It turns out our tiny, intimate ceremony was the most perfect way to start our marriage off.

I have a new hashtag for us postponed elopers!

Well 8 days before most of my family had canceled and my Husbands family was scared. We decided to go a head and call everyone and postpone the wedding. March 21st is such a special day for us. This year it was our 5 year anniversary and I wanted that date so bad. Our officiant and photographer both said they were still “in” and we decided to go ahead and do something small. My dress was supposed to be my rehearsal dress, but it was perfect for a little garden wedding. My sister in law; and best friend, drove up to be a witness and one of my other friends came as well.
It wasn’t what I spent the last year planning. It wasn’t the dress I flew to San Antonio from Seattle to pick out with my mom. It WAS the best day of my life and completely perfect. Marriage and life is all about rolling with the punches, so why not start out that way?
I can’t wait to celebrate with our families but honestly I wouldn’t change the 21st for anything. 💕

Congratulations! Where did you get married? It looks absolutely magical!
I'm so sorry that you had to postpone, but am happy to hear you were still able to marry your partner on your date! My date is 6/12/20, and if we have to postpone the wedding we are going to do the same thing.

We got married at the botanical gardens in Bellevue Washington! It was magical and just a 10 minute walk to them! Haha
