Ok so sadly enough we had to postpone our wedding reception due to COVID-19 for aug. 2021 however everything that was ordered with our original date Sept. 6, 2020 for the wedding like toast glasses, souvenirs, and guest book should I still use next yr. in the aug. Reception Even though I am still getting married on my original date so technically I would be married already 11 months by then? even though the reception will be next yr. ? Help please !!

I also postponed my wedding, and I have a bunch of things with our original date on them. For some things, we're just leaving it as-is, and for others, we've reached out to the sellers to ask if they can etch our new date underneath the old one. This way, we can still honor the original date, AND have our new date on there too. If you can't get the new date added, I wouldn't re-purchase everything. Save the money. The original date is part of your story.

I don't see a problem keeping the original date on them. It is when you will actually be getting married, so the postponed wedding will be celebrating the original date. With everything going on with COVID, I don't think guests would mind. If it will put your mind at ease, certainly see if the sellers can redo them for you, but I wouldn't reorder everything. Maybe just a few things like guestbook or cake topper.

I think it’s ok seeing as you’re still getting married on your date.

This is the exact reason I stopped putting our date on everything. Luckily we are still getting married and celebrating on our original date. If you’re actually getting married on your original date, I see no problem. That is still your special day. Maybe for things like guest book and champagne flutes you could add the new date as well.

I totally agree with this! Your original wedding date is still an integral part of your wedding story, so I'd embrace the different dates! Smiley heart

If there are a few items you really want to reorder - go for it! But you definitely don't need to spend twice the money re-ordering all of those custom pieces!

I got married on original date pushed party to next year and everything I have is engraved with my original date I’m definitely using them because that is when we actually got married and it is way to expensive to redo everything!
