Porta Potties?

I don't think there's any other choice, because there's going to be about 100 guests at the wedding. If everyone used the one septic tank, the last thing I need is for it to burst..

From what my mom told me (she looked into the company), they can do "cute" pink and blue potties. Also, they can provide a portable sink.

I just don't want any of my guests to be grossed out lol.

One of my coworkers went to a wedding a couple of weeks ago. The wedding was much like you are planning and had port a potties. That's all the guests talked about, the gross port a potties. Many people left early. Port a potties were also the subject of wedding related jokes for several days. The guys were lucky, I guess. Most of them did their business in the trees or behind a shed.

The guests I’m expecting shouldn’t have a problem with new, clean porta potties with air freshener and a place to wash your hands.
Also, there wouldn’t be a way for me to power such a large trailer like that.

Don’t let people get you down about not thinking ahead. Can anyone on who has gotten married already tell me that they didn’t overlook a single thing for their wedding day? Lighten up people, it happens! OP, I commented before and said I think you should get the trailer but now reading your recent comments I understand you can’t afford that and I totally get it! Your guests will be just fine. They may not be *happy* about it but you can’t please everyone all the time! I’m sure the other aspects of the wedding (food, drinks, music, etc) that you spent a lot of time and money on will be much appreciated! Try not to stress or let people get you down! No ones wedding is perfect!

They have these really nice trailer bathrooms you can rent. They are kinda like a porta potty but bigger and nicer.

I haven't read over the comments, so I may be repeating what PP's have said. I do think that porta potties are pretty gross and definitely wouldn't want to use one while wearing more formal wedding attire. Last year I attended a wedding in a maxi dress where they had porta potties and it was difficult to say the least. Will you want to use a porta potty in your wedding dress? It would be extremely rude to use the actual restroom in your grandparent's home and expect your guests to use the porta potties. Have you considered portable restroom trailers like these?

You should probably be fine then. Port o potties are typically not gross until people make them that way (I'm scarred by marathon start line ones.... they are gross hahaha) ones that are just delivered for your wedding though would be clean, and if no one is formal and it's more laid back then I wouldn't worry.

I think my only suggestion might be toilet seat covers (especially if you have little ones)

I'm definitely going to spruce them up and try to make them look nice and smell nice as possible. I think people are thinking about the porta potties that are used and gross, but mine are going to be clean and fresh and only used for a few hours.

By the end of the wedding, I hope people are clean enough that it won't be bad.

I do plan on using the porta potties during the wedding, I don't care.

My best friend's wedding had porta potties - all anyone is going to care is that there ARE functioning bathrooms. Plus I agree, that'd probably be too much for the septic tank! I've seen these really nice bathroom trailers you can rent - they're fully decorated inside and don't look anything like porta potties! Not sure if that would be an option where you are but it would be an upgrade from the plastic looking ones haha

I'd rather have a porta potty then have 100 guests sharing 1 bathroom. That could be a disaster. I would hope they come cleaned and fresh for you. Maybe request some air freshener things to be in them to keep the smell at bay?

Yes, we're planning on keeping some air fresheners, sprays and wax candle things in there as well.

    Thank you everyone!

I think it's fine. Especially with your theme. If people want to complain about something as small as that, then they have issues and are too high maintenance lol.

Agreed. People on here are way too harsh. Saying you wouldn't come to a wedding because it has a porta potty is absurd.

I love how they were telling me to get a second job or work more hours so I could get $1400 for a trailer lol.

I have used a lot of gross porta potties, don't get me wrong. But most people's experience of them are from events such as fairs or concerts, when thousands of people are using them. If you are renting them for an event with 100 people, they aren't going to be gross.

Lol right? Like if my guests were going to ditch my wedding because they don’t like the bathroom I hope they don’t come 😂
