We ended up getting married on Easter Sunday, but it was all about the weather and trying not to get married on anybody's birthday (in case they had plans). We were getting married in the Caribbean so we chose a date before hurricane season started. It was a little complicated because Easter it's a huge holiday where we got married, i.e. I had to get my hair done 3 days before the wedding because all beauty salons would be closed on or before our wedding but we were able to work it out and it was great. Tell me the story about your wedding date.

    the ring!Planning Milestones - What's your wedding date? 1

We are very laid back and didnt want to upgrade or mess with the ring in any way (aside from resizing). I am the only girl in my family and so it was perfect for us. Such a special ring and day to share

That city seems so beautiful. Are you having an indoor or outdoor ceremony?

Wow that's big. Sharing with friends and family it's amazing. It's a great experience seeing them there to celebrate you two.

We are inviting about 60 guests, mainly just immediate family and a few close friends. I initially wanted to stay under 35 (including us), but FH has a pretty big family. Since everyone will have to travel (2+ hours) and get accommodations for the night, we’re not certain how many will actually come but we hope everyone will make it.

Funny thing is, as the end of the day, we didn't really need it. None of our vendors had a "wedding season" fee. But it was still nice to have the option.

Yes, you could leave it the way it is and it'll still be great. We also chose a beautiful location and decorated it minimally.

Yes, that's the downfall of having a wedding where people have to travel a lot. I hope most of them go. For our wedding, we had 21 guests in total including ourselves. Only one person canceled.

Me neither, I got married in April and there's no such thing in the Caribbean. Everything costs the same all year round.

That's a great idea, that way you don't end up like us with two different dates.

Yeah, I definitely did not want two dates. The only bad thing is that it lands on a Tuesday. Oh well 🤷🏼‍♀️ most of the guests live within 10 miles of the venue so it’s not that big of a deal

Our date is December 7, 2019. We more or less chose this date on when we couldn't have our wedding- between a friend of my fiancé's and my cousin already getting married this year- we didn't want to step on any toes.

We narrowed it down to November or December 2019 and opted for the latter as my fiancé loves Christmas. It wasn't until we sent out STDs that I found out that it would've been my paternal grandparents' 73rd wedding anniversary; so that was a happy accident. Smiley heart

We are having the wedding indoors. Our ceremony and reception will be in the same place. You never know how hot it will be here and I didn’t want to worry about if it rained or not!

Thank you. Smiley laugh I have a shawl but our venue will have 2 fireplaces going throughout the night so I doubt I'll be cold.
