Planning milestones- First vendor!

First of all, that is beautiful!!!

We searched for our venue first. But we actually booked our officiant first. I had reached out to several but they were either booked or would not marry two women. Then I asked an officiant I know personally but thought he might be too expensive, he was thrilled and didn't charge much more than I expected to pay. I was not going to pass on someone willing and able to marry us. Almost immediately after booking him we confirmed our venue and booked that too. We just snuck a peak this past weekend to begin the set-up planning.

I already knew who my DJ and baker was before I got engaged. We are looking into venues so we can confirm a date with our other vendors. DJ Lmo and Company is an amazing local DJ who has 5 stars across the board. He Djs at local bars and clubs throughout the week if you wanna check him out first (Waterin Trough, CJs on the Island, Postcard Inn, etc.). Designer Cakes and Desserts located in Safety Harbor has the best cake I've ever had with over 30 flavors and combinations to choose from. Shelly and Sarah can do anything you want or find on Pinterest lol. Our neighbor is a professional photographer who was just feature in a magazine and newspaper. The only thing left to do this early is lock down the venue and date and pay our deposits.

Venue was locked down first so we have more time to pay it off.

First venue we saw we booked. I absolutely loved it and the staff was so on point I couldn’t imagine having it elsewhere. We saw one other but it did not do it for us and that’s when I knew I had to book the first one. They had the date so I took the jump and put the deposit down. No regrets.

We picked the venue first! The pictures do not do it justice at all. It was the first venue we toured and it took both my fiancé and my breath away. It’s your typical barn wedding I guess but to the top in elegance. I am a sucker for live oaks and the property is just covered in them!
