No! Get started as soon as you and your fiancé(e) are ready. My FH and I are having a long engagement but had our venue, caterer, and photographer booked 22 months out. You don’t have an actual date until you’re locked in with your venue, so I’d say now is the perfect time to start. Best of luck!

I think it's better to get the bigger things out of the way asap (venue, photographer, caterer) because they often book quickly!

Start now because 1 - some prices may be too much for you to budget or you can save and two some do book up quickly, Book as much in advance as possible like venues, catering and photography. Good luck.

Like the others are saying, if that exact date is important you'll want to get a venue locked down. Would be so unfortunate to find a place you love just to find out it's booked. Very popular venues might need this kind of notice.

It’s not too early. I already have a venue, photographer and dj company booked for January of 2022.

That makes sense I want to make sure I stay within budget ..so it would make sense to plan early 🙂

Not too early at all! I got engaged 01/2018 and booked the venue in 09/2018 for a 08/2020 wedding! The sooner the better, we got an early bird discount on most vendors due to being so early!

Congrats & welcome! 🎉 Popular venues can book up 1-2 years in advance for a Saturday night wedding so feel free to get started! These big decisions first with your beloved: 1) set a budget, 2) estimate guest list, 3) choose a venue.

FYI, several ways to save on a venue when you’re ready. Ask about:

    1) off-season2) a non-Saturday night 3) consider brunch instead of dinner unless you want a big dance party vibe

Yes it would be to early for cake and catering but it is definitely not to early to book your Venue and photographer especially if youre wanting a specific season for engagement pictures or a specific venue. We were engaged 14 months from our wedding date - i booked our venue within the first month and it was booked for all but our wedding weekend and the following fall! Craziness!

I'd definitely start now! The venue that we fell in love with allowed us to book for 2021 in 2018, so we were able to secure pricing 3 years in advance and have more time to get everything together and paid off.
