Planner/doc needed

Most couples do not need a full planner. That is only if you have a ton of money and no time or desire to plan your own wedding. At minimum, you do need a day of coordinator. Even if the venue employs their own coordinator, they work for the venue only making sure doors are unlocked, lights are on and vendors are in and out on time, etc. That is the extent of a venue coordinator’s duties. They will not do set up/tear down or run the event smoothly behind the scenes if there are any vendor hiccups. That is what the day/month of coordinator does. It is not your guests’ responsibility either because it prevents them from enjoying the wedding and they don’t have event management experience with vendor contact info nor do they know what your vision is and how to make it happen.



Go on Instagram for your area and browse the coordinator posts. Read over their websites which should list services and prices. Contact them through their websites, not social media, in order to get a consultation to see if you click.

A DOC is a must at the very least. I was very on the fence about getting a planner and ended up getting one and she has been amazing!! She has kept me on budget, sent me recommendations within my budget, helped me with my vision and she will be my DOC. I can’t recommend a planner, or at least a DOC, enough! If you can make it work with your budget do it!
