Anyone else doing this? My maid of honor and bridesmaids have basically stated that they don't know what to do, so I have to tell them all the plans and then they'll help out with the party.. Ugh, I know i'm overreacting, but it's still frustrating for me. They haven't had to do anything else for...

Ugh, I know i'm overreacting, but it's still frustrating for me. They haven't had to do anything else for the wedding (including paying for their dresses) and I dont expect them to! But it would be nice if they could at least handle the bachelorette party.. Oh well, I just need to vent I guess.

I'll plan my own lol Only 2 BM's would know what I'd like to do and both are long distance, and my sister/MOH is very old fashioned and anti-drinking. I'll probably do a girls night in at FH's parents house with everyone have some wine, Margaritas, food, and games

I kinda planned mine, only because I didn't want to go to Vegas! That's our traditional Bach Party place in my group of friends. My 16 yr old daughter is my MOH and I wanted to go somewwhere that she will have fun too! So off to Palm Springs we go.... for margaritas by the pool, yummy dinners & spa treatments! And me & FH booked the room because he wanted the Hilton Honor points! haha

I wanted to plan mine. 2 of my girls are getting married withing weeks of my wedding so I didn'tBridesmaids want them to have to worry or stress.

    Also, Emily Post says,

•Attend the bridesmaids' luncheon, if there is one.

•Supervise flower girl(s) and ring bearer(s) if asked.

•Assist the bride at the reception as requested.

•Participate in activities such as a receiving line and a bouquet toss.

•Contribute to the bridesmaids’ gift to the bride.

    Nice, but optional

•Host a shower, bridesmaids’ luncheon, bachelorette, or other pre-wedding party or get-together.

We're planning our own as well–just a simple BBQ with all of our friends, and then camping afterwards for whomever wants to stay and hang out. Low cost, no fuss, and no demands on others.

My sister is planning it, but I've given her options of what I would like to do. I'm a little more introverted than she, so I want to do like a cooking class or pottery class before the drinking starts. Whereas she would totally want to do a Strip to Fit class (not feeling it...)

I told her what I wanted to do. If it were left up to them we would be out drinking. So I decided that I want to go to the spa for the day. I told my MOH and she planned from there.

For those of you having trouble coming up with something that includes under-age bridesmaids, I planned a weekend at the indoor waterpark. It's fun, easy, relatively inexpensive and then you can drink in the hot tub while the younger ones have a coke! The older ones and myself are having dinner and bars night out the night before.

We are kind of planning mine together. I recently moved out of state so my sister MOH is 5 hours away, trying to do absolutely as much as she can and most of my BM don't know each other very well. It's just been easier for me to take the initiative and come up with where we are going and whoever wants to help plan what can.
