Danny and I met in 2009 when I was stationed with his unit for a deployment to Iraq. We were at a party with a bunch of people from the unit one night, we needed more beer, so we went together. He got us lost! In the town he grew up in, he now says that he was distracted. A few weeks later, we left for Texas, did some training and than flew to Kuwait. We reached Iraq and had different jobs and worked different shifts. I was painting a Twall to leave our mark in Iraq. Danny would sometime walk up to me and talk to me. I would sit there and smile. I didn't understand why he was talking to me. We got home in January of 2010. On our way back to our barracks, Danny slipped on ice and grab onto me as if I would be able to hold him up. We went our seperate ways again. 2 months later in March, we had reintergartion training. At lunch we got to go to Hooter's. I was with a different group of people. In line, he turned to me and asked if he should get the Tshirt or the hoodie. I said hoodie. He got the hoodie, and all of us went back to training. During a break, he ask me to come outside with him while he smoked. I told him no because it was cold and I didn't smoke. He than asked me to come outside and talk to him. I did and he asked me for my number to hang out after training. We hung out that night, continued to talk, I moved to Stevens Point from southern Wisconsin and we started dating in May 2010. Danny asked me to marry him in December 2010, we got pregnant in January 2011, and are finally getting married this year!!
