By placement cards, do you mean escort cards?

A chart would probably be the quickest/easiest way and you can make them look really cute!

    Ditto Rebecca's question.

I loved the idea of a chart for my daughter's wedding, and then using place cards for each person at the table. However, my daughter didn't care for it, and she is doing escort cards only.

The only quick thing I could suggest, other than the seating chart, is use clear Avery labels. I did it for my wedding. It didn't turn out bad.

What is the difference between escort cards and a chart? I'm really confused about how people do seating charts.

I'm only assigning tables, not seats, so how is that best done?

Shannah--I'm naming my tables and just typing up a list of the table names and who will be seated at them. Our wedding is not large--about 70 people, and FI's brother in law and my best friend will have the lists and stand at the door and act as ushers. We picked these two people because between the two of them they know 99 percent of the people who will be there. Hope this helps.

The chart has everyone's name alphabetically with their table number next to their name. They find their name and table #, then they just find their table and claim a seat.

An escort card is at the doorway to the room, and has everyone alphabetically with the table number on their card. They find their card and take it to their table to claim a seat.

Placement cards are AT the table. They find their name on a chart that tells them what table to go to, and there is a particular chair reserved for them.

@ Shannah ~ escort cards or just a chart would work for you
