Perfect daddy daughter dance song

Can deal? I love country. lol. My dad doesn't like newer Tim McGraw that much, and plus, I don't like where he says "he won't be good enough." I think my dad thinks dh is good enough. =)

I knew I needed a country song though. I didn't want a sappy one that didn't really mean anything personally...

I thought about doing Sugarlands "Baby Girl" because we went to a sugarland concert together when they first came out with that song, and we both loved it - him especially. He always made comments about it to me... BUT it just didn't hit the "daddy/daughter wedding dance" thing good enough. It was faster than I wanted, and it says "dear mom and dad" - and I hate my mom, etc. So I still played that but I thought of another song...

It's one of his favorite singers. He used to play his songs on guitar for me when I was a baby and I still remember it. It's perfect for us and it had me crying like CRAZY...

I loved her first is by Heartland not Tim McGraw, but I agree it's another great father/daughter dance song.

We danced to that song at our wedding. It makes me cry everytime. Very pretty IMO.

I am using "Cinderella" by Stephen Curtis Chapman. Lesser known singer, but I can't even get through the song without losing it.

Oh and a son-in-law is never good enough for daddy's little girl unless daddy has no respect for his daughter or is just a basic piece of scum. Our fathers want the best for us and no one can ever be as perfect as our fathers want them to be. But if we are lucky we get a man that our father can respect and love and who will be very close to good enough.

I am down to 2 choices..."My Little Girl" or "Daughters" by John Mayer. I am like most of you...when I hear "My Little Girl" I tear up. And the whole "He won't be good enough" is just how I would describe how my dad feels. I am my dad's youngest daughter and his last to get married. Growing up, I wasn't allowed to have boyfriends and no guy was good enough. My dad gets along great with my FH and they have a lot in common but I know he thinks he is the only one good enough for me LOL. "Daughters" was the first song I ever heard by John Mayer and when I did hear it I was with my dad. I know I am using both just not sure what one will be the one use when my dad walks me down the aisle and the one I dance with him.

I'm going to use "Angel in My Arms". It was a tough choice between that one and "You're My Hero" which would have been a song that's a tribute to my dad. They're both only available at www.weddingmusiccentral.com.
