padded sew in cups, anyone use them ?

Kendyl, on December 9, 2013 at 1:27 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 19

I'm trying to find some padded sew in cups for my dress since the back is too low to wear my strapless bra . has anyone ever used them? What kind did u buy ? (I always wear very padded bras , I'm just more comfortable with how I look when I wear them so no harsh comments about my under garment choices please ! Smiley smile )

My shop that I bought my dress through sent them with me for my dress to sew them in. Can you check with your alterationist?

I had them and wish I had just used a strapless bra. They didn't give me as much lift as I would have liked.

The only reason I didn't go with them is because I am one too that likes really padded bras and I found none that gave me the lift I wanted. I ended up buying silicone padding from Target and I planned on putting it inside my dress because its a corset top, I wore it around for a while and it seemed fine. I ended up finding a good strapless bra that I could wear tho. How low is the back? I had a bra that had a plunge back and I loved it.. Idk where it came from tho..

I have a large chest, but I still needed a little something in my dress. My seamstress sewn in some cups. She had a few different to choose from. I think it was like $15.

    I used these http://www.amazon.com/NuBra-Seamless-Push-Adhesive-Molded/dp/B009SGPHBE

The sew in cups didn't do enough, so I used that to pull my boobs together to give the appearance of more boob (I swear its not as sleazy as it sounds!). I have a really small chest and definitely needed something to fill in the dress.

My seamstress had the sew in pads. She just slid them in so I could see how they looked before deciding if I wanted to pay for the alteration (around $20 or so?).

The seamstress took care of finding them and sewing them in. It wasn't something I had to worry about - totally worth it no matter how you get them :-)

My sister had two sets of cups sewn in, and her rack looked fantastic! I would just have your seamstress find some. It might be cheaper that way if they can buy them in bulk.

I can't stand built-in cups! I had my prom dress made custom and since it was backless I had them sew the padding in. Even though my dress fit perfectly, if it shifted even in the slightest my chest looked super awkward! Go with a strapless bra and just stuff it silly if you can!

Are those "chicken cutlet" type bra inserts able to be sewn into wedding dresses? I've used those before, as well as the "sticky" ones, and like them a bit better than foam/fabric pad ones. I wasn't sure if that was an option, and I won't be going to start alterations for a few weeks.

I have built in cups in my satin mermaid dress cuz the back dips low. They honestly look like my fredricks of hollywood xxtreme push up bra pads that you can take out

I'm glad I'm not the only one who wants extra padding! Lol I just want my waist to look as small as possible , and the bigger the girls look the smaller my waist does my comparison. So I want the fullest bust possible haha
