Oversized Bouquets: Into It or Over It?

Lynnie, on July 31, 2018 at 11:05 AM Posted in Style and Décor 2 81

This final trend is a pin-spiration vs. practicality showdown! Massive oversized bouquets look stunning in pictures, but in real life they've got to be heavy!!! From giant single blooms to huge cascading bouquets, fantastic floral bouquets have seriously swung back in popularity. 💐

How do you feel about the oversized bouquet trend? Are you into it or over it ??

Over this trend. I feel like oversized bouquets aren’t practical and they hide half of the bride’s dress!

The huge cascading bouquets are beautiful, but prefer the simplicity of smaller ones...

    Sort of into it!

Only for photos. They cost so much more and are super heavy. My bouquet is mid-sized (I sound like I'm talking about my car, lmao). I definitely didn't want something tiny but huge bouquets are a little show-offy.

Over it. I like asymmetrical bouquets but these are too much.

I was never into this trend, so I am over it. I think it can work for certain brides that are really into the whole earthy. boho, free spirit thing and that is their actual personality in day to day life - but for most, I don't think it suits them and just looks odd.

Disliked it to bag in with, like to see the trend disappear. Huge floral arrangements in vases are appropriate in a room, not carried in hand.

Nope not into huge bouquets at all. I dont want my dream dress that I spent thousands on, covered up by a bunch of flowers. I am the focus, not a bush of flowers covering me up.

I love cascade bouquets but, don't like the ones that are comically large and overwhelm the bride.

Over it. It is just way too impractical and uncomfortable to be holding something that large!

I love a big beautiful cascading bouquet and I originally wanted one for my wedding day, but because of my size (I'm very petite) I feel like a oversized bouquet like that would take away from not only me, but my wedding dress, which is not really what I want. Nonetheless, I think they are gorgeous!

Over it. They just seem messy to me. Unfinished, or something like that. Plus, hiding the dress is never a good thing!

Generally for it, but I'd opt for a smaller version but still keep it less structured.

I think they're lovely, I wanted one but I made my own and didn't really know what I was doing so I just ended up with a classic round bouquet

I always thought it looked really strange, especially when the bride was smaller and the bouquet was way out of proportion to her body size/height.

Never into it to begin with. I’m going with a classic round shape that’s ever so slightly unstructured.

LOVE! Mine is going to be big and I cannot wait to see it! My dress is clean lined and very simple so theres nothing to cover up from the dress view.

Nope. I love my dress too much to cover it up.
