Hi Brandi! Good deal! That's super exciting, the party never has to stop! You and your guests can dance the night away. Out of curiosity, what kind of venue is your reception taking place at?
Over. It was a 4 hour reception and I was expecting a 1.5 hour cocktail hour but it ended up being closer to 2 hours. I didn’t care because that time flew for me but I’m sure my guests were expecting something shorter.
I'm trying to get my timeline nailed down. I am having a Friday wedding. Ceremony and reception at the same place. We can't get into the venue until 1:00pm on Friday. I am thinking my reception will last about 4 hours.
Under - we have 4.5 hours to execute the entire wedding. Ceremony >> reception.
I am hoping the ceremony is around 15 minutes long.. We will be doing a first look as bride & groom and getting the bridal party pictures knocked out so that once the ceremony is over we just have family pictures and then we are done!
Good part about that too is that we arent having a cocktail hour either so guests will be waiting around for MAYBE 20 minutes after the ceremony!

Our venue has told us they'll be throwing in a ton of passed hor d'oeuvres for us and a fruit/cheese table during cocktail hour so our guests will have plenty of food to soak up the drinks since we'll be having an open bar during the entire reception! Haha
