"Our Story" Troubles

Start with how you met. Then you could talk about your first date, why you decided to become an official couple, what you love about each other, the proposal, etc.

I had a hard time with this too, so I know how you feel! You can keep it short and sweet.

I'm having problems with that too. Ours is a bit unconventional......so I'm not sure how to start it without it sounding weird or possibly causing people to be judgemental.

Pan x. if anyone is gonna judge then thats not up for them to form opinions and say it out loud. its your wedding your wedding site . you can do whatever you want.. just write down what feels right. who cares what others think

We had issues with this one too. We just went with the short and simple version: how we met on match.com, our first date, etc. It worked out pretty good for us! Check out our website and tell me what to add! Lol

Well, it's also partly because I don't want to seem to be rubbing our relationship in his brother's face (FH and I met because I was in a relationship with his older brother for 2 years). We didn't end well, and FH and I got together pretty shortly after. FH had apparently had a bit of a crush on me for quite a while. He was someone that from the first time we met it just seemed like I'd known him forever, and we just fit together. But, I'm sure there's going to be some whispering going on. We're currently pretty hot as gossip fodder. I'm considering just not doing that page on our wedding site.

Hey all..thank you so much for your ideas...I have already started using a few of them Pan X...tricky!!!!! I would do somethign that revolves around how life takes you by surprise sometimes and that life happens while your making other plans...that way it is still about you and FH, but not so much'sorry sucker' to your FH's brother Good luck with that

I have that tab hidden... FH and I couldnt figure out what to do with it... We already have that other stuff included in the other tabs.

Pan X, DH and I dealt with that type of drama as well. We started off as best friends and he was with a woman his family really likes, some are still friends with but she treated him like dog poo. He left her and we started dating but I was always seen as "the other woman". Oh well!

To the OP, just sit down and start writing about how you met, When, where, stuff like that. Once you start writing, it will be easier for the ideas to flow and you can go back and rewrite. Thats how I had to do it

I'm still not happy with mine ;P

But our story is kind of complicated, it's hard to sum it up without it sounding impersonal, plus I feel there's a lot of need to explain why things went the way they did and why we did what we did etc.

FH and I did write our own things about each other under Bride & Groom, I'm tempted to leave it at that.

Maybe you can just write your proposal story then?

In December 2003, I met a man who was to become one of my closest friends for 4 years and my love for a lifetime. Our friendship began in Dover, DE...as he lived next door to my best friend. Thanks Kristen Garcia! We are now in his hometown of Hopewell, VA; with our daughter After 4 years of dating, we are ready to finally begin another exciting and new phase of our relationship.
