Hi All! My best friend and i are both planning weddings alongside each other, me in Maryland and her in Florida. We are each other’s MOH.

Anyways, I am trying to help her find an affordable venue, do any of you have recommendations for an “affordable” (so far cheapest has been $4000) plantation or barn style venue in the Orlando area?? I’m not from there area but I am trying to help as best as I can from afar!

I would check out hotels or parks for it to be cheaper. Also, winter haven, fl is near Orlando as is Kissimmee so those are two areas to check out as well. Are you looking for venue and reception?

Unfortunately a lot of niche venues- like plantations and barns- charge more simply because they fit a certain vision people have. What is her budget for the venue and what does she want it to include?

She’s looking for both ceremony and reception, yes. She works at Disney (which I know isn’t technically Orlando) and just trying to keep it in the general area. Thanks!

I don’t think she’s necessarily too bothered by the $4000 venues bc she has 2yrs to save, but I’m just seeing if there is anything cheaper out there. We got my barn venue for $1800 (which is dirt cheap) and the next cheapest we saw was $6000. It was like a needle in a haystack so I guess I’m just hopeful for her that she may have similar luck.

Disney is technically Kissimmee so I would look in that area. I can tell you know stay a way from International drive as everything there will be expensive lol. Downtown Orlando is nice but I would imagine since she is a disney employee she should get some kind of discount at one of their resorts no?
