Oops!! Pregnant and getting married.

Qui528, on January 31, 2017 at 11:12 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 137

So I am getting married in September and I just recently found my dress. I just went to the doctor's office yesterday and found out that I'm 8 weeks pregnant with twins!!! FH and I have invested already so much money into the wedding that cancelling is really not an option. Are than any other brides out there that will be pregnant during their ceremony?? What are you doing different to adjust to your growing belly?? I'm kind of upset that I will have to change my dress but I always wanted children and it looks like God has saw that this is the "perfect" time to get knocked up, lol!

So exciting! No advice, but will you be too close to your due-date to actually be able to stand up through an entire ceremony?

If you're already 8 weeks pregnant, won't you be due end of August/very beginning of September? You may have to push your wedding back or move it up!

    Congratulations!

Congrats! Yeah, I would definitely move your date. You are not going to be in a partying mood when you are 9 months pregnant with twins. And most of the time, twins are born early.

Congrads, I've always wanted twins. I would have to agree with others are you able to move your date up? Pregnancy is very tiresome especially toward the end, it will ve twice as difficult for you

Twins tend to come early. Plan on the 32-36 week mark. Also you will be EXTREMELY pregnant. I couldn't even get out of bed without help

Can't she decide to write "oops" on her own post if she personally didn't mean to get pregnant before her wedding?

I thought we weren't supposed to tell others how to post.

Thanks everyone for their comments. I will look into maybe pushing the date back some. Also, I know someone asked, my due date is September 15th.

LiveFree&Bride, I simply asked her, I didn't tell her she had to change it.

And sure, she can find it negative if she wants to but there are women on here struggling to get pregnant and would love an "oops" before the wedding. It's just very insensitive.

Can't you decide to stop arguing on every post you jump into now?

    OMG congratulations!

I think moving your date would be the best option. You will either be super pregnant, or already have given birth. If it were me I'd move the date closer, since after you have the babies you will be heavily pre-occupied, but obviously only do this if you can afford it.

    Congrats again!!

Congrats!!!!! What an exciting time for you and your FH!!!!

Do you have the option to move the date without losing money? My sister was on bed rest in the hospital for 7 weeks before giving birth to her twins at 35 weeks. She missed her baby shower. I would see what you could do. I'd hate to have you miss your wedding!

Let me end the small argument going on. I am one of those women who have struggled to get pregnant. I'm almost 40 and this was not planned at all. I lost two other pregnancies so the oops is fitting for my situation. I appreciate your concern for any sensitively but I am one of those you speak of. My intentions was to share my unexpected blessing and ask for the options of my fellow brides. I'm not overly sensitive but did find it a little negative but that's your opinion. So ladies let's not make more of this than it is. And let's be happy with the tremendous blessing God had given me and my family.
