Only need 23 wedding invites

Jess, on July 25, 2019 at 3:08 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 10
I'm helping plan a small wedding of less than 60 people. We only need 23 wedding invites. Does anyone have any insight on what would be the most cost effective way to go about getting the invites done? All the sites I've seen charge a lot for such few quantities. Would it be cheaper to make them myself after buying the paper for invites and RSVP cards, envelopes, and printing them all out?

I know craft stores like Michael's often times sell pretty cheap do it yourself kits

Have you tried Ann's Bridal Bargains? They have lots of cute options and the price is the same per invitation, no matter how many you order. I believe that none of their invitations are over 99 cents, RSVP cards included. Making them yourself will be super time consuming and more expensive than you think.

We used Vistaprint for ours and they turned out great. I would recommend signing up for emails for exclusive codes.

Keep in mind that you will need a few extra just in case of mistakes, to keep for yourself, and don't forget to include your wedding party and parents in that count. Thus, I would order 30 if you only need 23 - if your number already includes what I've mentioned above. If not, you may even need to go up to 40.

    Check out elegantweddinginvites.com

they have a nice selection and often have sales (I got mine during a 30% off sale)! I ordered mine there and loved them ( i only needed about 30 invites but ordered a few extra just incase) they have options to add on a few if necessary. just be advised you would have to assemble them yourselves (which i enjoyed doing) and it also takes some time to come as they are mailed out from China. check out mine below:

I thought I could keep costs down by diy wedding invites since I only needed 33. I made 40 and they came out beautifully, but were close to $200. I dont know how. A big chunk was kinkos charging $80 to print them (I think office max would have been cheaper), envelopes, rsvp envelopes, postage stamps, pens, metallic washi tape, stickers with our date and initials. Plus the time it took to design and address. Man, it was a project!

If I could do it again I would order them. I would also order pre printed envelopes.

We're having a small wedding -- about 35 people -- and I only needed 15 invitations. I found someone on Etsy that was selling packages as low as 30. She was super easy to work with and the invitations look fantastic. https://www.etsy.com/shop/HALOdesignsSHOP

😲I was on vistaprint last week and they had 50% off everything. For 40 save the dates and invitations it was like 40$. My FH says they have deals a lot and we don’t need our save the dates until the beginning of the year but if I see another sale like that before 2020 I’m just going to order everything with a few extra invitations. We are having like 75-80 people but some people are family of fours so they are getting one. I’m also doing RSVP by phone or wedding website because you have to pay like 50 cents per rsvp card and wedding website because you also have to supply stamps for them to mail you back the card and my mail person never puts our mail in the right box and there’s times I haven’t gotten invitations I should have. I can imagine the mess of not properly getting your RSVP responses in your mailbox. Plus I’m not trying to spend like $200 for Save the date and stuff

Anns bridal bargains, we got 25 invites that included the rsvp cards. We also ordered 25 detail cards all for 45 dollars. And they were here the same day they shipped, of course we live an hr away from where they shipped from.

I love them, they r beautiful.
