Ok, I'm getting married on Halloween & I need some ideas...

I want a real wedding, I mean, it's still my wedding day, & it still needs to be perfect, but I want to throw some unusual stuff in there too. I will not be having a costume wedding like most of my friends say I should have, but I do plan on having jack-o-lanterns carved for the occassion. I know it...

I know it sounds wierd, but we started dating on Halloween in 2006 & I have this wierd thing about our anniversary being on the same day. Idk, I'm wierd, but we both love Halloween & we are known for being different. Any ideas?

I love Halloween weddings! You could make little trick-or-treat goodie bags for your guest favors. Or you could have a "trick-or-treat" station of candy: mini candy bars, candy corn, caramel apples, Halloween shaped sugar cookies. For your table center pieces, how about different sized carved pumpkins with candles in them, gourds, fall leaves, and tall white drip candles in different antique silver candle holders and glass bottles (like a haunted house). Oooo la la! So cool. For your invitations, I would suggest my "Til Death Do Us Part" design which are Halloween inspired, but still elegant, unique, and special for a wedding. And they and are in your colors: black, red, and white. Email me at ******************@*****.*** if you want to see images. I have yet to add this new design to my website. Congrats on the engagement, cheers to you!

You could make little "trick or treat" bags for favors - and all the candy will be out anyway, as well as bags to help make them!

I'm having a Halloween themed reception too! Our colors are black (duh) & dark purple, with silver as an accent color. I'm trying for a haunted mansion type effect. My centerpieces are pretty simple, since I've tried to do this on the cheap. I found awesome candle holders @ Michaels that have little skulls hanging off them ($5!) and I also have skinny purple vases ($2 @ WalMart) with artificial black baby's breath and little silver sparkly branches. One great decorating item I found was a Martha Stewart "paper puncher" that cuts out a spiderweb design on the edges of paper. I'm doing this on silver cardstock and using them as a kind of "doily" I could go on forever....one fun thing - we are having an old wooden trunk filled with various costume items (We are NOT having people dress up)and setting up a "photo" area that looks like a graveyard. My ceremonuy is traditional as well, but I'm sneaking in some cool stuff in my hair, and my FI in his cuuflinks. Def. go to etsy.com!!

We have recently designed a photo book for a wedding that happened a couple of years ago in October. They actually had a pumpkin carving contest - http://photohand.com/index.php?do=home.showPortfolio&serviceid=3&page=28

    Hi Amanda,

Congratulations!! With all due modesty, you must visit my site at http://www.SmoreSmoochies.com and look at our unique, scumptiously delicious handmade to order treats!

Perfect as favors, to be served or as added decor.

Double dipped in velvety rich chocolate and topped with assorted toppings, our Halloween S'more Smoochies have assorted fright mix sprinkes, pumpkin sugarlayons and as you sound more into the unusual, there are some "spooky" toppings available. We are offering them both ribbon tied and sealed with fun Halloween stickers.

In addition to the photo on the home page, there is one if you scroll down on the customized page that might interest you.

Feel free to contact me with any questions.

    Warmly,

    Andi

I love the black and the deep red...it gives it a little bit of a goth look (love it) Ashlee Simpson had those colors and it looks so cool and elegant. She used tons of candles which I also love.

A good signature cocktail might be a spiked apple cider (captain morgan or spiced rum with cider). Super good hot or cold!

Im getting married this halloween and our colors are black red and gold. Our theme is kind of indian/asian but we are having a candy bar/buffet for the favors with take out boxes as the containers. The kids table has a bunch of halloween coloring books, foam pumpkins to decorate and other little things from the dollar store. One idea for a fun halloween theme but keeping it your wedding would be to have masks for everyone for the reception and make it costumed that way.

    Have fun planning!

I'm getting married on Halloween but not by choice - it was the only October Saturday at my first choice venue. I'm not doing a Halloween themed wedding (my colors are purple, blues, pinks) but I am using masquerade masks in my centerpieces, seating cards and table cards. I'm also giving each guest a masquerade mask on a stick. It's actually coming together very well.
