Must be some parallel universe.....because I'd be RSVP'ing 'no' to this debacle.

If your inviting 'close friends and family'', let them come without those green beans with the crunchy onions on top...

Just a small 100 ??!?!! IMO, if I had to bring my own food and beer to a wedding, your gift would be reduced a bit...... Plus for me, just meh I like having control over what's what. Knowing the food is coming from somewhere professionally done etc.

The thing is, that these people actually think this is okay or they wouldn't ask. Dollars to donuts the people who love it are also doing potluck/self catered/cash bar/dry weddings, and they think that is totally okay.

Also making a dish for 100 people is an insane thing to ask anyone other than a catering company.

I don't even like 100 people yet consider 100+ close friends and family. Shit.

I don't know what's worse: self catered, or potluck.

Potluck receptions are cheesy, no way around that. Always were, always will be.
