October brides- RSVP timeline?

AutumnBride, on July 2, 2015 at 11:12 AM Posted in Planning 0 39

Hey guys, we're getting close! I'm 10/17/15 and thinking of sending out invites August 3rd and asking for a reply date of September 7th. Do you think this is enough time for guests? What does your timeline look like?

I'm sending out my invites the first week of August and asking for a return date of 9/15. Your timeline is pretty similar and should be fine.

Mailing out end of July with RSVP of August 31st. I need to finalize my flowers by Sept. 10, so I wanted to give myself a few weeks leeway to hunt down rogue RSVPs. And since I've got flowers on each table, I needed to know how many tables before then. Go based on your vendors.

    Hey there date twin!

We have a lot of OOT guests, so my plan is to get the invites out by 7/25 and we have an RSVP date of 9/9, but we're actually giving them until 9/12 before we start following up from those that don't respond.

My invites are going out the week of 7/20, with a RSVP date of 9/20. That said, I live in a state where Columbus Day is observed as a long weekend, so I want to give guests plenty of time to plan accordingly.

My caterer wants our head count 4-6 weeks early so our RSVP deadline is 8/29. I've gotta get on this...

I am planning on sending mine out as soon as i get my envelopes and invites addressed and stuffed. so by the end of the month. and then my RSVP date is 9/15 i only have 95 people that are being invited so hopefully i dont need to spend too much time tracking people down (or i will delegate FHs relatives to my FMIL)

Glad to see these dates. I thought the invites shouldn't be sent out before mid-August, so I was getting concerned since more than half the people are from out of state. Because I've already read 6-8 weeks before the wedding. Our RSVP date is Friday, September 4th. I would really like to get them out late July because I want people to have time to book a hotel (in fact, our area is so popular with weddings that evening, that some hotels are already booked up). So now I feel better about sending them late July Smiley smile

Also, I already bought out invites, a while ago. Lol. All of the information was final a while ago, anyways, so why not. I wanted a good sale price, and I got a fantastic one. Haven't seen the same deal since we bought them! So yeah, they are already stuffed, addressed and stamped. Just need to be sealed and sent out.

I'm sending mine out mid-August (I want to wait until after shower RSVPs are due), and my deadline is September 27th. I have to tell the reception venue 10 days in advance what my final count is. I definitely think you're giving enough time to your guests.
