NWR: Name a weird/funny thing your pets do

I'll go first:

Ham is a papa's girl. She is VERY timid and will not let anyone come close, yet had no problem approaching FH and sitting on his lap when he went to the shelter to pick out a cat (to impress me, apparently, it was before we were an item). She won't even get fully used to me after 3 years, and I'm the cat whisperer in the family! Only FH is allowed and she purrs only for him.

Ham will also chew my hair.

Cheez is my rescue. A quiet cat, she nevertheless goes berserk when I get out the shower. She will meow a lot, and jump on me to rub her face all over my bathrobe. It's the only time she purrs. She also talks back if you scold her. "CHEEZ" "Mieh!" "DOWN" "MIEH!"

Jasper is my rescue too. He knows the "Sit" command. He goes slightly psycho whenever he has to take a shit, like, the entire building knows. He's vet checked, he just panics, meows a lot, shits in the bathtub then runs all over the flat.

Omfg @JoRocka, my Cheez has the exact same obsession with my hair ties! I can't for the life of me figure out why, but she loses her shit over them!

Here she is in full creep mode, sitting on my head the second I'm out the shower.

My Doxie, Miss Gracie occasionally mimicks nursing from her momma on her stuffed toys. She holds them in her mouth and then kneads her paws like a cat. She has done it since she was a puppy.

Spirit: he was the runt of the litter, lol. This pic gives a good idea of his size. Lol. The long haired cat is my Fluffernutter, and the torti is my kitten Sunny.

I have another for tie, Luna, who is -4, and Fluffer's short haired brother Augustus. Smiley smile

Mandi: omg, Sunny used to "nurse" on her older brothers after I found their momma a home! Their momma was a rescue. Funnily enough, they all (Fluff, Sunny, and Augustus) have the same daddy!

Mna: at first I was worried thinking she was weaned too early. Mentioned it to the vet once and he said it's not that uncommon and is probably a way she calms/soothes herself. I have videos of her doing it.

Sadie, my rabbit here, is old now (10 years old), so all she does is sleep about 40 hours a day. She snores very loud, though, to the point where she'll wake us up. She'll steal your candy if you're not careful. She took some candy from the bowl while handing out Halloween candy, lol. Even if you're eating something, sometimes she'll run up and grab it from you.

She's pretty fearless. She attacked both two cats that's lived with us, and she bit both dogs I've had. She's a stinker, lol. ETA: spelling

One of my cats is "puppy" cat. He will bring toys on the bed and want you to throw it to play fetch. He brings them back over and over again!

Jack, my beagle dachshund mix, is RIDICULOUS about food. If he thinks you have food, he will drown you in kisses. He will look at you and answer you with a whine if you ask him if he's hungry. He can spell. He knows "F-O-Os" (pronounced eff oh ohs) is food. (I don't know why we do foos instead of food, but...we do.)

Phedra (Irish Setter/ Standard Poodle/chihuahua mix) and Jack both will do the following:

    1. When they get comfortable in a snuggly position, they will both shake their head on whatever they're laying on, almost like they're digging into their pillows/our legs/etc. Its SO cute.

    2. If they get in trouble, they will come over, snuggle, and then give a HUGE sigh.

My cat Oreo likes to drink from faucets and he has to be petted while he eats. If no one pets him he freaks out and tears stuff up until someone goes to his food bowl with him. He's so spoiled!

Our furbabies are Aurora and Bunny (originally it was Princess Bunnycup, he was already neutered when we got him from the rescue and they told us he was a girl, when we took them to their 1 year appointment our vet told us he was a boy, we just dropped the "Princess" from his name).

Aurora like to play fetch, which isn't really all that unusual. (A little gross) When she farts it has a tendency to smell bad. So after she farts she will always stop what she is doing, sniff the air and run out of the room. It never fails to crack me up.

If their food bowl is running low (like you can see the bottom of the bowl) instead of eating from the bowl he will use a paw to "scoop" out food. He knocks the water dish around (we have puddles on the floor more often then not because he has managed to splash the water out of the bowl). Also, he likes to sleep in the bathroom sink (again not unusual) but if I open the door of the cabinet under the sink, he jumps out of the sink onto the floor and out of the bathroom (and we keep our toilet paper in the cabinet so they don't have the opportunity to make a mess with the toilet paper).

Aurora is the long haired cat and Bunny has short hair. They look a lot alike but are from different litters (Bunny is 10 days older than Aurora. Clearly they have different parents so it is funny that they look alike). These are from Halloween 2015 (in a spider costume).

ETA: Bunny is the picture on top with Aurora on the bottom (you can't tell hair length from the pictures)

@mna your cat sounds super sweet! i am a sucker for the 'underdog' so to speak.

all of my previous pets (and current one) were from people who didn't want to take care of an animal anymore.

this is emily and my fh. lol. she does a lot of crazy things.

she likes to sleep on both of our heads, she separates her litter so she has a part for number one and number two.

drinks water with her paw, will not eat her wet food until we pet her. and I swear when we come back from an overnight stay up north, she calls me mama when i give her that first pet before the purr comes.

she's my first pet as a full fledged adult. i've had her for at least 8 years...she's around 12 but i'm not entirely certain of her age.

Our cat was never overly fond of our oldest kid. *However*-- in every picture of us hanging with the baby out front of our house, there's the cat in the background-- it was like she was keeping an eye on us!

Ellie, our American Eskimo, gets very distraught when we tell her no. (Which is all the time, she's a very bad dog.) When we do tell her no, she rolls around and sticks her back paw in her mouth in a very dramatic fashion.

Ruby, our Papillon, is a million years old and doesn't do anything but sleep. However, she can give a mean stink eye when she wants to.

I taught my dog to sneeze on command. Why? I was bored.

All I have to do is shake my hand above his face and say "Sparky, sneeze!" And he sneezes or at least does the motion for a sneeze (sometimes he just can't manage a real sneeze, though most of the time he does a real one).

He also does all of the normal tricks sit, stay, lay down, come, follow, heel as well as, highfive and shake (shake is only with the right hand, because every gentleman knows you don't shake with the left..., and high five is more of a flat up in the air paw with his left).

When my dog, Maggie, gets excited and playful, she'll grab her tail and repeatedly pull her long hair through her teeth. We think she likes the way it feels.

This is the best thread ever. I love my fur baby so much. She meows whenever I sneeze, and I think it is adorable. She doesn't do it with FH, haha

Our cat, Sparky, is our alarm clock. Every day he makes sure we are awake at 5:30 even if it's the weekend. He needs a snooze button.

We have two cats. Macy showed up Thanksgiving day (hence the name) very pregnant refusing to take no for an answer when trying to get in the door. So she is a rescue. She has a love hate relationship with my FH. She hisses and bites him when he pets her and she doesn't want him near her.

Our second is one of our mama cat's kittens. His name is Dexter. He is like a dog. You can call him and he comes running and stands beside you. He also likes to be held like a baby on his back and his tummy rubbed.

I promise she loves me, but FH was too close while taking the picture and she wanted to run. Lol

Our rescue cat was SO afraid of our bunny for the longest time. Then she started to get in his cage with him to snuggle LOL They were best friends until Joey passed away last year from old age.

Now she spends most of her time begging for attention, quickly followed by nipping at is for giving her attention.
