I'll go first:

Ham is a papa's girl. She is VERY timid and will not let anyone come close, yet had no problem approaching FH and sitting on his lap when he went to the shelter to pick out a cat (to impress me, apparently, it was before we were an item). She won't even get fully used to me after 3 years, and I'm the cat whisperer in the family! Only FH is allowed and she purrs only for him.

Ham will also chew my hair.

Cheez is my rescue. A quiet cat, she nevertheless goes berserk when I get out the shower. She will meow a lot, and jump on me to rub her face all over my bathrobe. It's the only time she purrs. She also talks back if you scold her. "CHEEZ" "Mieh!" "DOWN" "MIEH!"

Jasper is my rescue too. He knows the "Sit" command. He goes slightly psycho whenever he has to take a shit, like, the entire building knows. He's vet checked, he just panics, meows a lot, shits in the bathtub then runs all over the flat.

This is my rescue pup tango and he was 2 when I adopted him. He's 7 now and still crazy lol. He hates balloons or basically anything filled with air. The packaging Amazon uses is his worst enemy and he'll destroy it as soon as I pull it out of the box. He walks around with socks in his mouth all the time but never destroys them and he's obsessed with eating dryer sheets. I take them away from him but sometimes he's sneaky. He thinks he's 10 pounds and doesn't care to sit right on top of you. He's the sweetest Smiley smile

First picture: our black Labrador we adopted from a non-profit program my mom works for. He's an ex-service dog. He LOVES the snow. Will straight up nose-dive and bury his head in the snow, then shake off the snow and tuck tail and haul ass. We call it "having the zoomies." I die every time because it's so funny seeing an 80 pound dog zoom around like a little one. Picture is from the giant snowstorm this past January - we got like 27 inches of snow in my area.

Second picture: our tuxedo kitty we adopted from FH's ex-colleague. Ex-colleague took in a stray off the street and the stray had kittens 2 days later! She is obsessed with pens and pencils, to the point where I sometimes will kick her out of our office so I can get some work done because she'll constantly sit on my desk and try to eat the top of whatever I'm writing with.

Amanda, are those springer spaniels? I've never seen anyone else on here with one! They're so handsome!

Our dog, Raleigh, knows a lot of fun but useless tricks. He's very eager to please and loves learning tricks and getting treats so it's fun to work with him. He knows how to shut a door, "back up", and "want a drink at the bar?" makes him jump on our home bar. If you ask him, "Do you love your mama/daddy?" he'll jump on me/DH with his paws around the waist for a hug.

The funniest things he does is that he often can't decide whether he wants you to scratch his head or his butt, so he slowly turns in circles while you pet him. Springers are also known for their wiggle butts so the whole back half of his body wiggles when he's excited.

When I'm working from home, my Teddy will rest his face on my keyboard. It's so sweet, but he always manages to do something like hit the number lock key.

We have two quirky cats--Leo and Annushka. Leo drools when he's excited/happy and will gurgle when he meows. Annushka is a fetching kitty, too!

FH got me a Pet Cube for my birthday so I can now watch them while I'm at work and see what antics they get into! It has a laser pointer for play and I can talk to them through a microphone. I'm a little obsessed with it at the moment...

We have a cat too, so you know cats do all sorts of funny/goofy things! Our cat Zoe has an awesome personality and we love laughing at her antics. She is very vocal and loves to "talk" to us! She loves to lay in the sunshine and also to play in our fenced backyard, even though she's really an inside cat. She's got her own little morning routine, which is adorable. We have deep window sills in our bedroom, and she will paw at the blinds in the morning trying to get us to open them so she can lay in her sunshine spots. She will beg and beg (demand!) to go outside or for us to open the door so she can lay in the sunshine. Something that cracks us up is that she doesn't seem to like when we're both in the kitchen at the same time- it never fails, if we're both in the kitchen she'll come in and start meowing like crazy, its so funny. We live in a 3-story townhouse, and she will often bring up toys (her "kill") to our bedroom and lay them in the doorway during the middle of the night, and then meow as if to say, "look what I brought you!" Here's a pic of some plastic bag "prey" she brought all the way up from the basement once, haha. Like most cats, she's really curious and she loves anything that makes crinkle noises like plastic bags or wrapping paper. Also, since she's a cat, she abides by the rule "I fits, I sits" so we love to snap a picture whenever she decides a new thing is now her "throne". I found her sitting in this box on the counter once! She also does this thing that cracks us up we call "crazy cat mode" when she just starts running like crazy all over the place, but only for a minute or so. Cats are crazy haha, but they're such a joy! Smiley smile

We have two fur babies, Dexter and Dean, both adopted Smiley smile I'm learning why their adoption fee was so low, because they are quite the handful...

Let's start with Dexter , not only does he lick all the vents in our house at 3am so it echoes throughout the entire place, but he also likes to carry a stuffed TY giraffe around. He's had it since he was 2months old. I gave it to him and something fluffy to lay with.. He now walks around at bedtime carrying and meowing until he find the perfect spot to lay and knead it.. I bought him an identical one so I can get rid of the old yucky one but he won't allow it. Vet said because he was taken so soon from his mom, he will probably never stop. Along with wanting to suck on your fingers, knuckles, hand, whatever he can get a hold of. He's a big 4 year old baby..

Then there's Dean..he's the black kitty. And often called little black kitty haha. He's semi-normal.. He's obsessed with his little mice that rattle. He loves to cuddle but from a distance. He purrs so loud yet doesn't want to get to close and will slowly creep closer to you when you're not paying attention to him lol. They are very entertaining . And they get along well. It's often kitty FightClub in our home, I guess at least it gets them exercise!

This is Izzy. She's my childhood dog and lives with my parents now. She knows she's not allowed on the couch, but I'll let her up when she wants to because she's getting old and the couch is more comfy than the tile. Whenever my parents aren't around she jumps up and lays with me, but if she hears my stepdad coming downstairs she'll immediately jump down. Animals are so intelligent!

Every time that FW and I lay down in bed our fur daughter, Mitten is so predictable. We'll lay down and then not even a minute later we'll hear her clumsily hop on the bed, attack our feet, and then walk up our bodies and find the smallest of spaces between us and cuddle.

She will also "cry" and "yodel" when she is in the living room by herself.

    She's such a sweetie.

My boy cat chews/licks my hair and will sit on anything new. Like when FH has his guitar amp in the living room, he has to sit on it. My girl cat is very vocal and loves to sit on pillows and blankets. We've even caught her laying on a pillow like a person.

And then of course there is Lucky Boo. She is our alarm clock. She is medicated twice per day for hyperthyroidism and she KNOWS her schedule. If we're not awake by 6:30 AM she will certainly let us know with the most alarming "HELLLLOOO" sound a cat could make. She will not leave us alone until we wake up and give her medicine.

She eats our hair like spaghetti. She likes wet hair the best.

She also only likes to drink water if it splashes. No boring water for her

Not weird but two things bandit does. Well I can't take showers alone he follows me to the bathroom I just let him in or he will open the door. (Yes he opens doors) the other is anytime me and FH play fight or something silly bandit comes to my rescue and try's to push FH away but then he gets all confused as he LOVES FH so he pushes him back with kisses ha. It's quite adorable. He was begging in this picture.

Lol I like this thread. We have two cats. One is a little on the...let's say "thicker" side... We call him sausage. He lays around on his back and does what we call "sausaging". Sometimes he'll stretch and end up rolling himself over completely. Sausage rolls lol. Cracks me up. On very special occasions he does yoga.

My Jasper LOVES cats. He's a Jack Russell mix, so not a breed that's really known for being great with small animals, but nobody has informed him of that! I've fostered hundreds of kittens over the years, and he has been there with me for each one!

Cooper and Chloe always wait just outside the shower for me - something they started as pups and carry on now! They weigh 92 and 70 pounds, respectively, and both think they can still snuggle up on my lap. Typical labs, they're both quirky in their own ways! We also have a kitten who we found without her momma about a month ago. She's a total basket case, but the dogs have adopted her as their own.

I forgot my dog Isaac can't greet you at the door without having something in his mouth, whether a stuffed animal toy, ball, sock, tissue on the ground, anything. If he can't find something he will keep running around freaking out until he finds something THEN come greet you. All while "screaming" he doesn't bark. Shiba inus are known for not barking, so he kind of cry/screams when excited.

Also if he's really riled up he will start sprinting in circles then when he comes back around to you he will nip your foot/leg/arm if it's down then make another loop around. We call it the shiba 500.

If my FH and I come in the door at the same time he will completely ignore FH until I acknowledge him first.

If we are both sitting on the couch and FH tells him to come up he will stand there and stare at me until I ask him to come up. And I'll pat the couch between FH and I and instead he will go around and jump up on my opposite side from where FH is.

He doesn't sleep with us and he shut the bedroom door. So when you get up in the morning he will usually be right outside the door and he will get so excited when you come out as if he hasn't seen you in days.

He's basically obsessed with me and my FH got him 3.5 years before we started living together. So not sure why he's obsessed with me over him.

    Here he is burrito style

OMFG- the look on that cats face on the last picture.

    Fucking priceless.

JESUS CHRIST I DIDN"T SIGN UP FOR THIS!!!

    LOL

I have 3 cats- and they all do the usual cat things.

But the more unusual of the things- my little cat Meep loves my hair ties. She loves to pick them up from wherever and put them in the toilet- or the water bowl.

I wake up and find black hair ties in my toilet- it's the weirdest thing. LOL

This is Yogi, our mini Aussie. He has a cute little underbite, uses pillows when he takes naps, and when he goes number 2 he does a torpedo move and spins around a minimum of 4 times to squat down and do his business. He's such a weirdo and I love him!

This is Ah-choo, my sweet froot-loop, discount shelter kitty. She loves peas, refried beans, popcorn and red wine. She will only drink from the faucet, which means a cat sitter comes by twice a day when we go out of town. Also when I am sleeping, she also loves to stare at me- nose to nose- until I wake up.

Runt is my "special" kitty. He has brain damage from when he was thrown into a wall at birth, and I honestly didn't think he was going to live. Due to that, he developed a condition that ultimately makes him twitchy and compulsively lick himself to try and stop the twitches. He is also a Kleinfelter syndrome kitty, having XXY chromosomes. He is a yellow ticked tabby with a gray "dirty spot" behind his ears, and other patches of gray/black skin in less conspicuous places like his lips and eyelids. His underpass also have a dusty gray tone to the yellow.

He is massive. Over 25lbs massive. As a kitten he used to drag himself over to me across the house before he could really walk, and I would cuddle him on my chest. He still thinks he is a tiny kitten and frequently tries to lay on my chest or drape over my shoulder. Lol. He also freaks out and yowls if I go into another room without him, until I come out. Nobody else will satisfy him, it has to be me.

He's also probably the sweetest, most loving, cuddly, timid cat I've ever had, and he's so tender hearted.
