No Stamp on RSVP?

My mom is invited to a wedding and they had no stamps on the RSVP? Is this some new thing that I don't know about? I am usually all about breaking the "rules" and doing what feels comfortable for the couple and their family...but I just can't seem to stop thinking that this is very poor taste. What...

@Iryna I was just thinking that too!! It's fine paying for the stamps but I'd hate for it to just be wasted. I worry that the stamp might just get lost in the envelope though....but it'd be much better if they can still use the stamp even if they rsvp online.

@Rachel, you can maybe put it right in the middle by the invitation or something... somewhere that it will not get lost in between ... Dont know yet how my invitations will even look like so I dont even know what I will do my self, but that was just an idea.. at least if that way is done, then hopefully most of the stamps will be used... or hmm another thing, I dont know if you doing a directions/info card with the invitation, but if you are, you can type up on the info card as "please use inclosed stamp on the envelope if you planning on RSVPing thru the mail, if not, then please use the stamp for something else" or something like that.. Obviously the wording would be much different but in that kind of way so people know to look for the stamp (oh i am probably will be breaking sooo many wedding etiques & rules when I am done with this wedding, but I sooo dont care ha ha its whatever works for me better & easier for me LOL )

I'm also putting stamps on my RSVP. If I don't recieve an RSVP from my guess that means they are not attending I will also do follow ups with the ones I didn't get back. @ Rachel, I don't want my information on facebook because I have soooooooooo many people that would want to come just to be noseySmiley smile No facebook here. j/s

Side Note: This is a reminder that stamps go up at the end of this month. I think its like the 27th. If you purchase the FOREVER stamps they stay the same. I purchased 300 so far.

I keep hearing people complain about the price of stamps going up again this month and stocking up on forever stamps... its going up like a penny? Am I the only person who isn't that frugal and is like "omg I need to save a penny on my stamps!" Even if we are talking 100 stamps, that is only 1 dollar extra you are spending. I can't be the only one that isn't concerned about this.

I didn't stamp mine either except for some older people as just about my entire list is on Facebook or sits in front of a computer all day. I had about a dozen people mail them back anyway. Another dozen or so RSVP online. The rest we had to call. However, from the people I had to call, I doubt we would have received the cards back even if they were stamped.

Seriously, anybody that really cares about you isn't going to not come because you didn't stamp it. Anybody on here who says they won't go because they had to use their own stamp was only coming for the free food anyway.

Irchykk, that's what I was thinking about doing. We're going to be sending out about 140 invites, so that adds up in stamps, and we're going to say that we prefer online RSVP. I don't want to exclude stamps (well, I DO, but I know I shouldn't) so by just dropping them in there the stamp will at least be used, if not for the RSVP then for something.
