New England destination wedding venues

Jess, on July 31, 2019 at 2:47 PM Posted in Planning 0 3

Hey everyone!

I'm trying to plan a small wedding (about 40 ppl) in November. I wanted to elope at a nice inn in maybe VT or NH but my fiance wants to have a big wedding. So we are compromising and having a small wedding with close family and friends. I'm wondering if anyone has had their wedding in the New England area that can recommend some places? Not looking to break the bank for this, we are going for more simple and elegant. I've been looking up places but there are so many beautiful choices it's hard to decide! Thanks!

What kind of vibe are you looking for? Barn? Inn? Fancy? Casual? Still want November?
It sounds unsual but sugar houses (where maple syrup is made) can be a possibility!
I think it was magic mountain I went to with a friend that did weddings in Vermont. Beautiful area.

I live in New Hampshire. We have beautiful venues that range from farms to museums to old mills and then some. You can definitely find some inns in the Mount Washington area or on the seacoast. We are getting married in an old mill - tons of brickwork and exposed beam. Check out the Common Man, Longlook Farm, Steele Hill Resorts, Dartmouth Skiway just to name a few.

Hey Jess! A small destination wedding sounds like the perfect compromise between what you both would like!

Have you had the chance to check out the WeddingWire venue search tool? You can search for venues in the area and filter your search by available date, venue type, and maximum capacity.

I’ve started a couple of searches for you here -

    Vermont Wedding Venues

    New Hampshire Wedding Venues

Since you are having such a small wedding, you could also look into Airbnbs that allow guests to hold events. It might be a good idea as you will be able to rent the property for a few days if that is what you want.

Have you thought about what style of wedding you would like to have?
