SO nervous about my wedding in oct. no matter what i am not postponing the ceremony only the reception.

    Yes, many of us are. I think that’s my plan too. Or cut down the guest list if I can.

    My hall that we are using is still in RED zone according to our governor. so im hoping it gets in the yellow or green by October. so we dont have to worry about it.. And congrats on your engagement and Good luck!!

    You as well! What state are you in? Ohio is allowing inside dining this Friday and many venues are questioning if we can follow restaurants protocol. Which makes sense.

    I live in PA. we still are take out and delivery. We go into yellow stage tomorrow in my county but my hall is in the county over. and thats in red!

    We’re in PA too and getting married October 3rd. I’m not sure what our plan B will be. I say postpone, FH wants to get married no matter what 🤷‍♀️

    We want to get married too no matter what because we have been waiting for this for 4 years because my ex abusive husband wouldnt sign the divorce papers. So no matter what we want to get married and postpone the reception. But i hope all works out for you guys!! be safe

    Hi Alene,

    I'm sorry that you're feeling nervous and that you're facing the decision to possibly postpone your wedding. The general consensus for fall weddings (Sept-Nov) is that you should proceed with planning. However, you may want to consider your back-up plan sooner than later.

    For example, if the total guest count had to be <50, what would you do? That's a good place to start. Getting married on your original date and celebrating the wedding later could be great options. Some couples are doing a ceremony now with a reception later, elopement now with full wedding (ceremony + reception) later, micro weddings and more. Check out these posts:
