Need some advice for alterations

Hey! So this is a question about alterations with a bridesmaid dress. I’m super excited to be standing up in my brother’s wedding this August. I have my dress but I’m trying to find a bra that doesn’t show with the dress. I have a strapless bra but it cuts too high and can be seen over the neckline. I tried the stick on bra and it’s leaving weird lumps that are visible. The material is a stretch crepe and it has adjustable spaghetti straps that are also in the stretch crepe material. Have any of you wore a dress in this material or had your girls wear a dress like this? I’m contemplating on having cups sewed into the dress. My concern is just having enough support since I am bigger on top (34D/DD). Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I am so excited and can’t wait to be there for my brother and future sister in law’s big day!

Many seamstresses sew cups into dresses but they are not for women who need support of any kind. They should be able to adjust the dress to cover the strapless bra so you still get the support.

Can you attach the picture of your dress? I am 28E and I alter most of my strapless dresses so I don’t have to wear anything inside, but supported. Sometimes I put boning on the side seams, and tighten the waist area. It all depends on the dress material and shape too. How low is your dress? I personally tried 3 brands of boobies tapes. They don’t stay long.

This is the dress. I agree. I remember from high school dances tape never held up well and those adhesive bras were usually slipping off by the end of the night.

Yeah, I would tighten the waist area as snug as possible and and make sure the straps are not too long.
