Hey everyone!

So I'm on the hunt for some shoes. I had originally ordered KEDS embroidered sneakers for work (I'll attach photos) and my first impression of them was that they were so beautiful that I could wear them for our wedding. After a few months, I'm having some doubts about that and looking at other shoe options.

I don't normally wear heels, but I found these embroidered 3.25" block heel sandals that I just love (again, see pics!). The reviews say that they're really easy to walk in, one reviewer stated that she wore them for 11 hours without them hurting her feet.

I was thinking maybe some 2-inch Sam Edelman block heels, but they don't have any colors around that I want. After looking at my dress, what would you do (PS - not wearing the belt)? Should I brave it and order the heels, get used to walking in them for the wedding? My mom spent a really pretty penny on the dress, and I don't want to do the outfit a disservice by wearing sneakers. But then again...who cares what's under my dress? I want to still feel beautiful, will the socks and sneakers deplete that? I don't want to have to switch shoes at the reception because the skirt on my dress is already pretty full and difficult to walk in, I don't want to add 3" of length and be in a worse position when trying to dance and mingle.

Brides who braved 3" heels, or block heels in general, what was your experience?

Help! and thanks in advance!

I love both of those shoes, but for comfort I would choose keds. If the skirt is already tough to walk in, adding heels could make that worse. I'm wearing sneakers under my dress that are sparkly keds. Like you said, no one really sees them. You can wear the really low socks and not even see them with the keds. The main thing to consider is dancing and standing for long periods. I never wear heels, so I know that would kill me.

You should go with what you're most comfortable with. People will barely see your shoes, if at all.

I don't normally wear heels, but have worn them all night without problems before. I bought a 3.25" wedge heel that I'm wearing for ceremony and photos, and flats to wear later in the night. I understand that it might be an issue with the dress, so may look for like platform flip-flops too. I saw another bride here wore them before.

I just really love the shoes I bought, and figured if I'm not going to wear white sparkly shoes on my wedding day, when else am I going to wear them. I also want the pretty shoes/accessories photos.

I think both are very pretty Smiley smile. Honestly you could buy both and wear the heels for the ceremony and then switch into Keds for the reception. Or you could just choose the ones that feel the most comfortable Smiley smile. I’m having trouble debating on heels or no heels, and honestly I think I’m going to do something similar to keds, Bc I trip in long dresses when I wear heels. But wear what you feel best in Smiley shame

Keds are so cute! I'm trying to convince myself to just go with the Keds. I'm afraid I won't feel as much of a bride as I would in heels. But I'll feel super comfy!

I never totally trust reviews when it comes to how comfortable heels are. You know yourself and your feet best. Both shoes are beautiful, but I'd go with a heel height you're confident about wearing.

I ended up ordering these! A solid compromise and hopefully I can wear the sneaks for the reception Smiley smile

Hi all, need some advice. Should I go with or without platform keds?
