Need honest opinion regarding top cut of wedding dress

Lauren , on September 3, 2018 at 12:38 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 14
Hi ladies,
I just got back from my second fitting and I’m not loving my boobs in this dress. The seamstress pulled up the sleeves a good couple inches and inserted padded cups since the first fitting. I feel like my boobs look saggy in the dress. I’m not sure if I should wear a bra? Take the inserts out and see if she can tighten it up around the upper ribcage? Find a bra? Add a piece of fabric that runs horizontally across? Or am I tripp’n and the dress looks fine as is? I appreciate your honest opinion and feedback. Thanks brides!

The dress is lovely. Your breast should be lifted in the dress. Have the designer add the cups along with a bone corset. Another option is to have the dress closed a little in the front and lifted so your breast sits in the dress. You have a beautiful shape and the dress should reflect your shape.

I think the dress looks great! And not to sound creepy but your boobs look very natural in these photos, so I’m not seeing what the issue is, they don’t look saggy at all. Love the dress and you look beautiful in it.

The dress is pretty on you. I feel it depends on if you want SEXY! or Classy sexy! How do you feel feel? If you wanna go for the gusto then get the girls pushed up or just tighten up the front park so your girls are sitting closer inside the cups. Whatever you do, you are fabulous!

Your boobs look like they are suppose to. Not pushed up or oozing out. However if you feel like they are going to come out, then I'd have your dress altered. I'd go try on your dress and jump around, bend over, sit, hug people to get the real feel.

First off, I love your dress! Is that beading over the lace on top?

I honestly think your boobs look great and natural; not saggy at all. I agree with PP that you could certainly push them up more but IMO it would look “fake”.

You could find a bra that would with that dress. It the V in the front isn’t too drastic, there are a lot of deep v bras that would work. I found one that I will most likely be using. It has great reviews and is for a plunging neckline.

Do what feels comfortable for you. I personally want my boobs more pushed together on the day, so I’m going to make sure that happens. If you don’t feel comfortable in the dress as it stands, I think you should try to find a solution. Whether its a bra or more altering to the dress, you should find something that makes you feel comfortable in it.

I don’t think they look saggy at all. There is a good bit of ‘’exposure’’ compared to if you added an insert, but if you’re not super modest, I say go for it! If you’re I comfortable, you could easily get a piece added.

Your dress is very pretty. I personally think your breast look fine but if you want a little lift I would talk to the seamstress to see what else she can do.

Love the dress! If you want more lift but cant wear a bra in your dress (like me), tape the girls up with medical tape!! Works like a charm. My boobs are DD and the tape still works. That is what I have to do too. Sounds funny but seriously try it!

I think they look fine! I love the top of your dress. I haven’t used these, but they’re on my list of things to get for outfits where I don’t want to wear a bra. I’ve seen good reviews for them. I’m not sure a regular bra would work with your dress, unless you found one with a super low plunge.

Thanks ladies so much! Your responses made me feel much better. I’m going again on Sunday. The wedding is 9.22 so I was a bit discouraged when I got to her place last weekend and a lot of the alterations weren’t done yet. I called her and told her my concerns. I bought a few plunge bras to bring with me next fitting. She also said she has leftover lace and beading she can put across the V. So we have some options. We might even try taking the cups out and see how they fit (possibly using medical tape). I really appreciate all your positive and constructive feedback. I’ll keep you posted after I see her on Sunday! Thanks again!

Hi Lauren!! Your dress is absolutely gorgeous! The beading and shoulder details are amazing. I think you look great in this gown. I can totally understand wanting to have the right amount of lift in the bust area. From your side profile, I don't see an issue! You look lifted and there's no sagging. Regarding the front of the gown, there's just the right amount of cleavage and it's flattering. Outside of the added cups, you could also wear a bra for a little more lift. You could also use fashion tape to pull your breast up which will give the "push up" look.
