Need help please...Bridal Shower favors??

TheNewMrsT, on March 21, 2013 at 8:57 PM Posted in Planning 0 14

Hey ladies...

I am throwing my sister a bridal shower in a few weeks and need ideas for favors. What have you gotten at showers you have attended or what have you given at showers you threw?? Also, for the winners of games, what kind of gifts are appropriate for this??

Thanks Smiley smile

We had a coed wedding shower with a make your own pizza buffet, so our favors were sugar cookies iced to look like little pizzas.

Do you have a theme for the shower? I'm always a fan of edible or useful favors.

I am planning my friends bridal shower for next month. I matched the prizes to the game. 1. famous couples game the prize is a movie theme so popcorn, 2 movies, candy, and pop. 2. Spice of life game (Guessing different spices) prize is a box of chocolate and a bottle of wine. 3. Purse game prize is a replica Coach purse, book, and word puzzles. I am also putting chocolate covered pretzels in a small gift box at each seat and am having a candy buffet.

I'm in the same boat being MOH for a wedding in June! So far I got Bath & Body Works hand soaps as the prizes for the game, but I am still on the hunt for favors for everyone. I was thinking of just wrapping up candy or making chocolate covered pretzels -- something simple.

For favors, candy is always good. You can print cute labels to put on candy bars, or have a color coordinated or themed candy centerpiece for everyone to pick things from (like pink rock candy on a stick, pink m&ms, etc. for ”It's a girl!”, or bright primary colors for a circus theme. People pick the candy they like so everyone's happy, and they serve as decorations. Win win!). Personalized cookies are cute and cheap too. Little bottles of scented hand sanitizer are a nice idea too. For prizes, you can get all the stuff to make really nice little gift baskets at Dollar Tree. A basket, bubble bath, lotion, an eye mask, and a hair towel turban thing, voila- spa basket. Plastic dish pan, foot soak, foot lotion, pedi set, nail polish, poof- pedi basket. Smiley smile Kitchen gadgets are always appreciated, mixing spoons, pot holders, dish towels. That kind of stuff.

At my mom's best friend's surprise bridal shower (her wedding was beach theme) she made candy favors in the shapes of beach related things and then bought seashell designed soap and stuffed them in a little beach pale bucket, thought it was cute.

I'd do chocolates or something on save on crafts website they had some cute favor bags that looked like corsets they were adorable.

Gifts you could do candles, soaps, lotions.

Nail polish sets, manicure sets, maybe makeup bags. Just silly little girly things people will use

I went to a 'bridal shower tea', once. The favor was some fancy tea and a piece of candy in a tulle bag. I ate at the candy and still have the tea, but I liked the idea.

Personalized labels for small wine splits or wrappers for Hershey's candy bars with information on the back as to who will be in the wedding, how the couple met, etc is always fun. Cookies with the couples faces on them from Parker's Cookies is fun too: http://www.parkerscrazycookies.com/. Just a couple of different suggestions. Let me know if I can help with the labels or wrappers.

I am planning my moh shower currently. I got handmade soaps that have an ocean scent (for the beach them shower) with custom labels that says "from Maria's shower to yours" I have about 80 people to invite but I still have time before I even send out the invites... Just to be safe I ordered 100 soaps cost being like $180 total from etsy which I felt was a pretty good deal. Our second choice was candy bars with custom labels as you can ever go wrong with candy but the soap ended up being more affordable.

For one of my best friends shower, we made cute bags with some of the items I sell such as a little spatula, whisk, nail sets, and items like that.
