Any ideas on how I can work a "So say we all" into the wedding or reception?

    Maybe during a toast?

Toasts, perhaps as part of the closing at the ceremony?

I like the toast idea! You may be able to have the officiant put it in there somewhere as well. Great idea! I wish I would've thought of that!

Have the officiant/toaster say something like

"May you have a full life of happiness, love, and laughter. So say we all"

    Or something like that.

My writer's brain hasn't had enough coffee yet.

At my cousins wedding after they said their vows and I do's, the officiant had the guests all stand and repeat a similar vow saying that we will do all we can to support their marriage and the vows they have made to each other...after we repeated them we said "We do" you could easily change that to a chorus of "so say we all" . That would be really cool.

I was going to say something similar to what mrjonesandme posted ^^

Our officiant is lovely and has given me permission to re-write nerdy things into the phrasing of what she usually says. Such as "This was a triumph. Making a note here; Huge success!" "The one ring to bring them all, and in the marraige bind them" "When life test's your might...."

Many officiants are happy to work nuances into your wedding ceremony if you request it :-)! And if they won't, then it is time to find a new officiant. I started my officiant search by asking them: "How do you feel about including Lego into the ceremony?" LOL! It narrowed it down right quick

I def agree with Mrsjonesandme and Danielle! Also - instead of "with this ring, I thee wed" - we will say "it's dangerous to go alone - take this"! There's all sorts of fun ways to incorporate personal touches Smiley smile

I don't think we will actually meet our officiant until the day of the wedding. :-\ (international destination wedding)

I LOVE what @mrjonesandme said!!! There's something so moving about a guest call back like that. Like all your friends and family promise to see you through this marriage and support you as a couple. I just got chills.

I really wanted to put something about FH's half orc named Tsu (Sue) in my vows, but decided against it. Our DM is marrying us, so there might be something about a D20 in there. Smiley winking

I read something somewhere but I can't recall... thier officiant had a paragraph where she would speak to our guests after her opening statement. Like "Will all of you present do all that is in your power to encourage and support the promises that Bride and Groom make here today. if so, please say, “ So say we all.”

My officiant said "I meow pronounce you husband and wife" you can definitely find a way to make it work in your ceremony should you want to

If people are giving speeches, pass the word among your bridal party (and whoever will give the last speech), that the last speech will end with, "No, let us all enjoy this lovely meal" and then the BP chimes in, "So say we all!"

FWIW, at my baby brother's wedding last month, there was a part where the guests were asked, "Will you...?" and were supposed to respond, "We will!" Well, the grooms were Will and Sean, so some jokester in the BP suggested we should all call out, "We Sean!" right afterward. I'm not sure everyone got it, but those who did laughed pretty hard.
