Need "bridesmaid Proposal" "will you be my bridesmaid" gift ideas! Drop what you did/your idea here!

MICAYLA, on July 16, 2018 at 11:42 AM Posted in Planning 0 11

Hello!

For my bridesmaid GIFTS I am getting them robes, a spa day before the wedding and a weekender bag.

But I am so stuck on what to put in a little box to ASK them to be my bridesmaids. My engagement party is coming up and I'm running out of time.

Drop your ideas (with pics would be awesome) for what to do for Bridesmaid proposals/gifts.

We hung out for lunch and I said “will you be my MOH”...for my BM I simply called her and asked.

I looked on Pinterest to find all my ideas! I haven't made my proposals yet (we just got engaged), but I'm hoping to make a gift box for each girl to ask them all!! I want to put in a personalized water bottle (my wedding is in Florida in the summer), a necklace for the big day, a coffee gift card (or something different for my FG), and a few other little trinkets! Good luck!

Don't feel pressured to make a bridesmaids proposal box if you run out of time. Weddings are expensive and stressful already and proposal boxes aren't a requirement.

I wanted to make custom bridesmaid boxes but I was stressing myself out, and decided to make labels for mini champagne bottles (my MOH got a larger one). It was a great decision because it was cute and personalized, affordable, I knew they would use it, and it was low pressure. I used the colors and the fonts to give them a general idea of the colors and feel the wedding was going to have.

Hi MICAYLA! Love what you are getting them for gifts, so sweet! I've seen in the past boxes with a little bottle of champagne, a note and some type of bath bomb! I'll attach photos for inspiration! Smiley smile

I just texted them and asked them.

The gift is being reserved for their BM gifts the day of the wedding.

I don't have a picture unfortunately. I bought wooden jewelry boxes from Michaels ($10 each), painted them white and painted their initials on the front then spray painted the whole thing in glitter. Inside I had a liquor shooter, nail polish, and hair ties that said "to have and to hold your hair back". I wrapped twine on the outside with a paper that said "Be my bridesmaid?". Then the back had wedding date, location, and dress information!

I made the tumblers with my cricut with their name, title, and wedding date. Then I got "tie the knot" bracelets off amazon and the "to have and to hold your hair back" hair binders. Tie the knot is our theme. Then I put some chocolate truffles. In the top box was a balloon filled with confetti and a piece of paper rolled up that reads "will you be my Bridesmaid/maid of honor" at the bottom of the balloon string was a note that said "pop me" with a saftey pin! Obviously they open the little box with balloon first!

I dont have pictures but I gave them little pamper kits with lip balm, bath confetti, body balm, a floating candle, sheet masks, mini nail polishes, a pretty emery board, a handpainted (and then kilned to be food safe) mug with their name on it, a selection of teas and hot chocolates (wedding and the ask are/were in winter), and some chocolates. I also added a framed picture of the 2 of us, a note with a timeline of our relationship pointing out why there are so important to me and why I wanted them with me, a brief description of what we knew for sure about the wedding theme, date, colors, what we wanted them to wear (they are all picking their own dresses with a couple simple guidelines - color, length, sleeve length, formality), and any other bits we thought were important (especially since 2 of my sisters live overseas I didnt want them to think they would be letting me down if they only made it to the wedding itself and none of the pre-wedding events). And finally I put in paint chips (free from the hardware store!) in our colors so they could see what shades we specifically meant.
