Need Blankets For Wedding Favors

Jocelyn, on October 18, 2019 at 4:41 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 2 13
I’ve seen a couple but does anyone know a good company to get small blankets in bulk (~120)? Looking for them in black or taupe for our winter wedding 2020. Thanks in advance!

I bought a bunch from Walmart 🤷🏻‍♀️ They were about $2.50 a piece and come in a bunch of colors!

I think blankets could be a rather expensive favor if you want nice quality ones. I included a link to a site I found, but I have never used that site so I'm not sure how reliable it is. I also found some on Etsy, but for 120 of them they would be thousands of dollars. Personally, I would go with something else that would be cheaper. I know we made cake pops and a lot of them got taken, but there were a good amount of them left over so I would hate for you to spend a bunch of money on something people don't take. I have included some other ideas that I think would be cute for a winter wedding and would be cheaper than nice quality blankets.

I thought of doing this too! There are some options on Etsy - but SUPER expensive.

I would consider looking for them at Walmart or somewhere on sale (maybe could find them on Black Friday or Cyber Monday). If budget doesn't matter to you, there's lots of options on Etsy!

We're doing blankets as chair covers for our winter wedding. I found a blanket I liked at 5 below for $5 and then ordered them bulk shipped to my Mom's house. No shipping fee if it's over $35. But we've only got about 20 guests. We'll offer for them to keep them as favors and donate what remains to a local animal shelter. ♥️

Walmart sells fleece blankets cheap, especially in winter months. You could also look out for fabric sales and cut/sew/tie your own blankets.

I bought from Walmart and tied them myself. This was the best deal I could find. I believe they were $2.50 a piece.

Those look great! I was too committed to having one color and couldn't seem to accomplish that at Walmart for that price. Yours are adorable, though!

I bought mine at Walmart for $4 a blanket. They were a super soft fleece and everyone loved them.

Donating extras to a local animal shelter is awesome. If you put a sign up offering for guest to keep and left overs will be donated for pets in need, I bet a lot of people would give them back at the end of the night. That is a really great idea

Thank you guys so much for all the comments! It has been super helpful. It sounds like Walmart is the way to go, and I will absolutely be doing the animal shelter donations if the whole blanket thing works out!

Thanks! We'll only have like 20 people and most are travelling and I doubt will want to keep and travel home with them- which was kind of the inspiration for the idea. We'll definitely tell people though!
