Need Advice!

Karlayne, on December 2, 2019 at 12:43 AM Posted in Planning 0 4

Hi guys!

So my wedding is in June 2020?? When is a good time to send out Wedding invitations and also when is the right time to have the guest RSVP!? Also when is a good time for a rehearsal dinner/ceremony!

I'm at the point of i know i'm ready and prepped for the big day but thinking to myself i know im going miss something or forget! I keep rewriting my side of the guest list! maybe just over thinking it ! We have just bought a house as well so we have fully planned our future together even our finances!

What do you guys do to make it less stress if not getting a wedding planner!? And for me I am not the person who likes being the center of attention! But his family is around 200 and mine is 100 so we are having around 300 guest . Funny story every one is excited about our wedding and I always tell them when I walk down the aisle look away or im already at the alter! =)

Thank you!!!

I also have my wedding in June. Planning to send out the invites by late-March to early-April. The payment of my venue is based on guest count so I need to know before it's dued, a month before the wedding. So I'm asking people to reply a few days before then. If you're getting a caterer, you can ask when do they need to know the headcount by and pick a date a week to a few days before that. Rehearsal dinner is usually the night before the wedding, after the actual rehearsal. The ceremony start time depends on what kind of wedding you want. I want an evening one where we can get sunset photos and dancing at night. We will start ours at 5:30

Same here girl! Our guest count depends on the payment. We are meeting our wedding coordinator for the venu mid December so maybe in 2 weeks will finalize what we need! We are getting married at a church we had so many things to prep for that specifically but glad it’s all done with and payments !

Oh and sunset photos are amazing 👍🏻

Same! Mine is June 6. My save the dates were ordered last week and I should be getting them this week. I’m sending those out January and I’m planning on sending invites late March as well. My venue needs a final headcount I think like 2 weeks before so I’m going to have RSVP by May 1. I think that’ll be enough time to get them all in with some time for procrastinators too. I keep getting told there’s always someone that will.

    Hey Karlayne!

So typically invitations are sent out to guests around 6 to 8 weeks before your wedding. You can then request your RSVPs to be sent back to you about 2 or 3 weeks before your wedding. There is actually a great article in the Ideas section about this that you can check out - When to Send Wedding Invitations

You can schedule your ceremony for any time during the day, but I would advise to not have it in the middle of a mealtime as you don’t want your guests to be hungry during your wedding!

Usually, rehearsal dinners are the evening before your wedding, just choose a time that is reasonable for guests to be able to attend and have food to offer them!
