Need advice for surprising my bride on our wedding day.

john, on November 4, 2013 at 9:04 PM Posted in Planning 0 9

Hello I was hoping for some advice. I really want to surprise my bride on our wedding day. I have 5 months or so to plan.

So far, what I'm doing is, on the morning of the wedding. I'm having flowers sent to where shes staying, with a love letter, and her appointment info to a surprise massage.

I was thinking of making a video showing pictures of us growing up, then together, with a romantic song playing in the background. But I'm worried that's only something kids do for their parents at their 50th wedding anniversary.

So I guess I was hoping for thoughts on the video, and any suggestions of something else I could do? I definitely cannot sing. but I'm looking for something. Shes the most amazing person I've ever met. She deserves something special, and I wont stop until I find it!

I personally would love that! Maybe right her a letter with reasons why you're so excited to marry her!

At a wedding I recently stood in, the groom had little gifts (ex: Starbucks gift card, sunglasses, can opener, flip flops) and a letter with each given to the bride (from bridesmaids and family) through out the morning. She received her first gift right when she woke up, one at the hair salon, one whole getting makeup done, and one right before the ceremony. I thought it was a cute idea and the letters had the bride in tears every time.

Ohhh thank you. Good ideas. Maybe I'll do gifts throughout the day and the last one being the video. I like that a lot.

Very sweet of you! The video slide show of the two of you growing up along with pix of you two together would be the best. How about you suprise her with this at the actual reception? Before the cuttingof the cake announce to her in front of all the guest that you have a special gift for her. And then have the slideshow play along with the song of choice. I'm sure it'll be a tear jerker for her and even both sets of parents.

The massage is a great detail to relieve the stress but this will set her back on preparations. Maybe do it the day before in coordination with her MOH to ensure she doesn't have scheduled appts already.

Sweet idea! How about instead of pics from growing up, etc... Do more of a memory lane, like remembering all the special dates and moments from the time you've been dating

My husband surprised me with a sketch of my wedding dress and his tuxedo. He had my maid of honor send in all the photos and she wrapped it up. A lovely gift for us both. Took my breath away...he took it with us to the reception where he had an easel for the sketch to be displayed. He used Dreamlines. I found this image on their website with a before and after. https://www.weddingwire.com/biz/dreamlines-wedding-guest-book-idea-ofallon/312df29d678919b5.html
