I agree with FutureMrsHicks! My wedding is 17 months away and I already have my venue (fir ceremony and reception,) DJ, photographer, and florist. The earlier you get things the better so you can actually get what you really want before it gets booked. Happy planning!

Um we are in the same boat, but I started getting things in gear right after I said yes!! You are never too early to start. So far I have my dress, shoes, veil, most of my vendors on board, just need to our finances in order. So I wish you luck and happy planning!!

It goes by soooo fast and many places book up over a year in advance! We got engaged Dec 2011 and started planning right away. Youll be shocked how fast it goes by, and it will be a relief to have all the big vendors booked so you can concentrate on the constant influx of details! good luck!

Hello, my wedding is 15 months away! I would say if you guys have your heart set on a certain day to at least get the venue out the way now!! I was lucky to find a venue that was available for my date that we could afford, however, there were a few places I called who didn't and they stated that it was because spring and summer dates tend to go fast, even if we have a little over a year left. So now since I have that out of the way I think I have some breathing room until about July. Good luck!

My mom just said that today about how fast it goes but I don't see it. Time is moving minute by minute and I feel as if I could go insane. I need an extra curricular that is not wedding related!! Lol but happy planning to everyone!

I got engaged 4 days ago and my wedding is also 14 months away. I pretty much started making plans that day. I am also a little crazy, but hey better to be prepared.
