I am beyond upset and frustrated!!!! I dropped my ring off to a local jeweler upon return from my honeymoon to get 2 stones replaced (that's another story for another day sigh...) anywho he told me to come back in a week and it should be ready. A week goes by and my hubby goes to pick it up and the jeweler CAN'T FIND IT! He tells him that he's (the jeweler) is going out of town and to give him until Monday...ok....monday comes and he hasn't had time to look...o...k.....today I called and yet again he tells me he can't find it but to "not give up on him" I'm really trying to keep a level head but I'm so upset!!! The only advice I can think of is that if he finds it take it immediately to another jeweler that can verify that none of the diamonds have been switched out. I've heard of horror stories where the diamond you originally paid for is switched out for a fake or cheaper diamond and the couple would have never known.

    1. I would be loosing my shit and he would be lucky if I didn't swing at him.

    2. The general manager of the store and the district manager would be getting involved and I wouldn't be leaving that store until I met with BOTH of them at the same time with the idiot who claims he lost your ring. And then demand they replace it or you will take legal action.

    3. I would be filing an insurance claim.

    4. Immediately have it appraised and inspected to confirm the stones are all real and the metal is still the same metal.

Fingers crossed for that jeweler to find your ring .... I'd be in there tearing his damn store apart! Tell him to find it before you have to come in there and "help him remember where it is"

Call your local news station. If I were a jeweler and I lost someone's ring, I'd be tearing my store apart and trying to find it.

Hey everyone! Sorry for the lack of posting on top of this I am in bed sick with a sinus and ear infection. Hubby is actually a police officer and unfortunately this is a civil matter. I will take him to small claims court if he does not offer another form of compensation! If I weren't sick I would have definitely been in there lol and hubby is going back today (in uniform lol) and telling him that something needs to be done ASAP and that we can't just keep waiting and hoping he finds it.

Depending on the cost of your ring and your state's laws - it could be more than a small claims matter. I almost wonder if he just hasn't really looked yet and keeps putting you off.

What a bummer! Hopefully he finds your ring, but it sounds like you have a good plan if he isn't able to return it to you.

Hi out there. I am very sad to say I am going through this right now. Im in PA. I took my wedding ring in on Mar 31st to a well known Jewler the last day for my 6 mo check. The rep said I have loose stones on the top center of my ring. She said it had to be sent out for repairs. It is now May 2nd and still no ring after almost 6 wks. I was told the new girl sent it to the wrong place and now it's lost. After talking ti 2 store mgrs and a corporate rep still no ring. Please tell me how this can be the case when it has a tracking number. This was my upgrade. I've had it for 2 yrs. It took me 6 wks to even find one I loved and get it. Now it's lost. Truth be told this has been going on for a while nationwide with a lot of customers. Hmmm.
