My jeweler lost my ring!!

I am beyond upset and frustrated!!!! I dropped my ring off to a local jeweler upon return from my honeymoon to get 2 stones replaced (that's another story for another day sigh...) anywho he told me to come back in a week and it should be ready. A week goes by and my hubby goes to pick it up and the...

I am beyond upset and frustrated!!!! I dropped my ring off to a local jeweler upon return from my honeymoon to get 2 stones replaced (that's another story for another day sigh...) anywho he told me to come back in a week and it should be ready. A week goes by and my hubby goes to pick it up and the jeweler CAN'T FIND IT! He tells him that he's (the jeweler) is going out of town and to give him until Monday...ok....monday comes and he hasn't had time to look...o...k.....today I called and yet again he tells me he can't find it but to "not give up on him" I'm really trying to keep a level head but I'm so upset!!! Why me ='( what should I do know?? Any advice?

    Oh no!! I would be really angry! I definitely suggest getting insurance on it as soon as you get it back. Just add it to your renters insurance.

    I'm usually calm under pressure but holy shit this would make me go bat shit.

    I honestly feel like I'd be the one to have to keep FH from freaking TF out..

    I would get my ring appraised after he "finds" it to make sure he didn't swap out any of the stones.

    I'm with @Kay. The cops would have been called because I would have been making a scene. And standing outside his business with a sign and on social media. I'm ruthless and don't play.

    I would absolutely be furious. Threaten bad reviews online, make a scene in the store, anything it takes for him to get on his hands and knees and start looking for your ring!!

    Def ok to loose it, Was it your engagement ring or wedding ring that he lost? I didn't see where you said if you got some sort of claim ticket when you dropped it off. Let us know what happens!
