I’m getting married in Puerto Rico in January and since it’s a destination wedding it feels impossible to cut any corners or do any sort of budget-friendly DIY hacks I see online for decorations and florals bc of the whole travel factor. I feel kind of hopeless about budget friendly options for our situation, but maybe some other destination brides have found some useful loopholes or hacks that helped them save for ceremony/reception related things abroad? I’m all ears!

I'm January in PR too!! As far as decor and florals and such go, I ended up hiring a combination florist and decorator. While doing things on my own may help save money, the extra luggage and materials and stress would likely end up somewhere close to the same. That being said, I'm planning on DIYing a lot of my wedding party gifts as well as some of my own bridal wardrobe (sewing projects for the win!!!). I think if you can find something small that you can DIY- favors, stationary, etc- that you dont feel anxious about bringing with you then you can probably manage those!!

Congratulations!!!! I’m a wedding destination bride! The florals on my wedding arbor I will be using for my center pieces for the reception!! It saved me money since I’m only having 3 guest tables and one sweet heart table ! I’m also taking votive candles with me for the reception tables ! having a short guest list helps too lol !!! once your wedding comes closer the guests that say will be coming all of sudden can’t go anymore!!
