Moissanite or Sapphire Wedding Band!?

Liz, on February 14, 2014 at 12:44 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 13

Does anyone here have a moissanite engagement ring? Smiley smile

I'm trying to pick between a moissanite wedding band or a blue sapphire wedding band (my birthstone). I love both!! My ring is a pear cut solitaire moissanite in 14k white gold.

sapphire:

moissanite:

I'm very untraditional when it comes to wedding bands. I say go for the sapphire band! It is unique and shows off your personality, and there is NOTHING wrong with that! Smiley smile Good luck.

I am traditional in the sense I want my rings to match, (which they do). That being said, it's really about what you like best!

I personally prefer the moissanite band but I'm not big on color for anything really.

I think the sapphires might be more meaningful because it is your birthstone & if it speaks to you then you should definitely go for it!

What I plan on doing is having a traditional diamond band to match my engagement rings and then adding colored rings on for each of the children we have in their birth stones. Like this...

I say go with the sapphire! I have sapphires on either side of the diamond on my engagement ring and they look beautiful with diamonds. Both are gorgeous, but if you love sapphires, I think it's a great choice.

Sapphire all the way. I have two sapphires on my engagement ring. Love the added color!

I think that's the way I'm leaning too Smiley smile I like the princess cut stones in a channel setting, and those seem to be harder to find (of course) but I have to agree, I like the added color and it's unique.

Thank you all for your help!! Smiley smile

I have moissanite and I love it… I like the idea of the colored band for your kids too or your FH's birthstone too
