When it comes to your ceremony song choices, did you go with traditional wedding songs like “Here Comes The Bride”? Or are you using more modern songs that have a special meaning between you and your fiance(e)? Photo by OLLI STUDIO in NY Next Question: Modern or Traditional: Wedding Vows? Start...

My aunt is our pianist and she refuses to play here comes the bride because of it's Opera roots, but I'll probably be walking down the aisle to another piano classical piece!

We’re going w/ the latter so modern. We haven’t set anything in stone, but I don’t want to hear “here comes the bride” lol

I totally forgot about this song, that'll be such a beautiful recessional song! I like the Phoenix theme idea, that could be cool! I've also been thinking of some other songs for you, maybe an instrumental version of I Like Me Better by Sauv or Say You Won't Let Go by James Arthur?

Traditional I honestly never even crossed my mind to do something different. I guess I knew it was a thing but never gave it a thought for my wedding.

We haven't gotten far with thinking about music yet, but what I do know is, my processional music will be Trumpet Voluntary by (Jeremiah) Clarke. I have always loved it, I find it more dramatic than Here Comes The Bride, and therefore better for making an entrance.

Modern. FH is walking to a lord of the rings instrumental and I'm walking to a song I love by a cello duet.

Traditional! we are being married in a Catholic church and will have a choice from religious songs but I think we'll pick the classic "here comes the bride"!

A mix. We will have the organist and choir for our bridal parties - most likely Veni Veni Emmanuel for the choir, alcolytes and priest and Pachabel's Canon for one of our groups, but havent picked out a second for the other bridal party. Then my sister will be playing a solo trumpet fanfare for each of us. She hasnt made a final decision on hers but is leaning towards music from Zelda, mine will be the Throne Room theme from Star Wars A New Hope and our recessional will be Hedwig's theme from Harry Potter. We havent decided what the bridal parties will recess to yet and I'm waffleing on my hymn choices - though the Offertory will be Panis Angelicus sung by a friend. We are getting married in Advent so we can use those hymns too and I love a bunch of them - I love too many, makes it hard to choose when I have so many sections of the hymnal that are appropriate to use.

Modern! I am walking down the aisle to a song that my dad wrote and performed for my mom on their wedding day.
