ETA- but a bag of regular put them in the box and try them in a week to see if stale. If not then leave for another week and try again.

I would do it as close to the wedding day as possible. A week out at most.

Groupon has deals on these ever so often. They just ran one a few weeks ago. It was like buy $50 Groupon and get $100 worth of M&Ms.

My mom surprised us with one hoping we could use it for favors as well...

We're using M&M's as well! I have them on my to do list for 2 weekends before, but I bought closed containers to put them in. If your boxes don't close up completely I'd wait as long as possible just to be safe.

We spent a little over $100 @FutureMrsPribula, but I waited until I saw a 50% off sale.

Im doing my candy favors the week of/few days before my wedding. To keep as fresh as possible.

We're doing chocolates for our favors and waiting to open them/package them until the week of the wedding.

I'm thinking of buying the already packaged ones so this isn't another thing to do. But if I do go this route, I'm do it the week of the wedding.

We wanted to do these but fear them melting outdoors in August. I would say do them a week before at most. I understand wanting to do it now but patience will be worth it!!
