Missing Anything for Micro-wedding?

Suzie, on August 2, 2020 at 7:14 PM Posted in Planning 0 12

With postponing our planned wedding to a backyard micro wedding, I feel like I am starting over! Agh!!! And now I have to do it all myself, since we aren't using our venue. This is what I have so far:

- Rentals: tent, tables, chairs, linens, dinnerware, silverware

- Decor: candles and candle holders, Mr & Mrs. sign for sweetheart table, will be getting flowers for tables day of

- Transportation

- Attire: veil, shoes, jewelry, clutch, looking for hairpiece, rings,

- will be ordering dinner from catering, and drinks

- cake & topper

- will be getting a bluetooth speaker to use with Spotify

Any advice on what else I may need? I feel like we need more, but also feel like we are covered lol.

It sounds like you have most of this covered. There were a few things that jumped out at me but I feel like you probably just didn't type them, even though you actually have them.

    Rentals: glassware
    Decor: bouquet/boutonieres/ceremony flowers
Attire: dress, fiancè's outfit, a plan or supplies for hair and makeup
    Administrative: marriage license, pen
The thing that helped me the most with this was to make a timeline and write down everything that was needed for each part.
FRIDAY-tent/tables/linens delivered-we don't need to provide anything. Drinks are being dropped off. Drinks require ice, glasses
SATURDAY 1:30: the florist arrives- she's providing all personal flowers, centerpieces, arch flowers. She needs the arch to be set up.4:00 the caterer arrives-he's providing all dinner food, utensils, etc. He needs 2 six foot tables, possibly an extension cord/electricity source. 4:30 photographer and officiant arrive. They just need instructions/a timeline. 4:50 guests arrive. They need "covid supplies" (masks, hand sanitizer, etc.) 5:00 ceremony starts. We need music, speaker, someone to be in charge of pressing play....my timeline was a bit more detailed than that and it continued from there, but hopefully that helps you figure out what you might need.

Maybe some outdoor games to keep the guest entertained.

Oh yes, a cake cutter, thank you! I’m debating the guest book for only 20 people lol. Probably should, though.

I'm with you on the Guest Book. I was thinking of something like this as an alternative Except, maybe use a Mason jar with the wooden hearts.

If you are feeling overwhelmed I'd suggest Amazon and Etsy for any last minute purchases. DIY can become overwhelming quickly, and you can find a lot of nice and affordable stuff on those sites.
