Micro weddings seating

Crystal, on August 18, 2020 at 10:33 AM Posted in Planning 0 8
So we went from 150 to 30 guests (including us).

Do we do a seating chart for 30 guests? Do we sit at a table alone? Wouldn’t that look awkward? What did you do?

We have about 20 guests and are seating tables by households. This means it will be mostly small tables of two, spaced 6 ft. apart. We will put name cards directly on the tables since it is such a small group, they can find their table that way. We are doing assigned seating for the ceremony for similar reasons, and will have small place cards on their assigned chairs for the ceremony. It's really up to how you want to approach it - we're super super COVID conscious so this was the best option for us.

I would still have assigned tables. I would assign by households like the previous poster mentioned.

We are going from 130 guests to less than 20. We plan on seating people by their 'bubbles'. Some tables will just have 2 people, others might have 4 - all depends on each guest and comfort level. Because it is so small, we can talk to each guest before hand to ensure comfort with the arrangements.

I like the idea of assigned seating for the ceremony - takes the guess work out of where they should be and they won't have to guess at other's comfort levels.

We're having about 50 guests and aside from my FH, myself and future step-son, I am not planning on assigned seating. We are leaving it up to our guests to choose their own seating.

Have a seating arrangement regardless of the size, even if you only have 10 guests. Assign tables and let them pick the seat.

We're going from 130 to 30-40 and still doing a seating chart - grouping people together by household/family. They'll be assigned tables but not specific seats.

I think we're also going to do name cards on the ceremony seats, as a PP mentioned, to keep those same groups together.

We had a micro wedding with 15 guests and still did place cards. We did three long farm tables and sat with our guests.
