Michigan Wedding in March - Do You Regret?

Chelsea, on November 8, 2019 at 2:58 PM Posted in Michigan Planning 0 3

Hi All!

I am recently engaged and my fiance and I are planning on having our wedding in March of 2021. Our venue is in SE Michigan. My question is, does anyone from Michigan regret having their wedding in March because of the weather? I'm nervous I'm going to do all this planning and then get hit with a snowstorm and no one is going to show up Smiley sad

We chose March because we want a winter wedding but the venue we love only does weddings from March to October.

Thank you!!!

Smiley heart

I'm also in S.E. Michigan. We had ours 3 weeks ago in Woodhaven, fall was our first choice, but we did look at March and April as well. The only factor in not picking it was the wacky Michigan weather. We were worried about snow and traveling

Hey Chelsea!! Welcome to the WeddingWire community! Congratulations on your engagement!

Since your dream is to have a winter wedding, then it seems like the question of the weather will be an issue no matter when you choose to have your wedding. Will you have a lot of guests traveling to Michigan for your wedding?

You will have to sit down with your SO and decide how important your winter wedding is, and if it is worth some guests not being able to make it.

    Hi!

I’m having the same dilemma. My fiancé and I are looking to getting married in March in Michigan as well and are scared the weather will be crazy.
